Only sound and No picture in Toshiba DVD/VCR combo

Hello,

maybe your connections are wrong.

The yellow pin is for video, while the white and red pin are for audio left and right.

So, your wires will be connected to video and audio "OUT" from your player and connected to "IN" respectively on your TV.

That's how it gos. Its a input and output law. The Player will be sending out the pictures and sounds (OUT) and the TV will be receiving from the other end (IN).

Its as simple is that. But if there is still no picture, then cross check your video wire (yellow), maybe its bad.

Good luck.

Connecting a toshiba sd-v392 to an old analog tv

Make sure your menu settings are correct audio outputs may have a setting for digital or analog sound output check that these are set up to analog or stereo output .Also try hooking the sound up direct to a stereo system or amp to be sure you have output! Also you may not be able to get your sound thru the convertor box!! Because the convertor is a reciever of digital signals not a line amp. for audio !! Hope this helps11 AAAAAAAAAAAAAE!!!! I've had the same symptoms on the last two Sony DVD's that I've rented. I managed to get around this by hitting one of the menu buttons after the loading message stopped.

DVD plays with sound but no picture

Have you checked the unit on another input or another set to eleminate the video input? also try the video cable. If theres sound and no video and you tryed then the video output amp in the player has a problem and the only way to fix this would be with a schematic and a scope to trace out the video signal. Good luck
