My aunt has a cisnet comp that is only a couple of years old. she was in the middle of playing a game on it (that is all she uses it for. she doesn't have the internet nor is she interested in ever receiving internet services) when it suddenly turned itself off and now when she tries to boot it up a 'no signal' appears . i believe this has to do wiith the video card? what is your opinion

Yes that one option, remove the video card and try cleaning the video card pins with an eraser. return it back and make sure it it is properly attach. if the problem continues then clean also the memory with an eraser. if still continues then try removing the processor then return it back, this refreshes the processor of the computer.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

couple of things

how old is your pc? because if its over 10 years old it will struggle.
how demanding is the game? if the minimum requirements for the game are higher than you laptop/pc then it will struggle and ultimately crash, but this can happen even on the high performance gaming machines.

the best thing I can suggest is to download "speccy" this is a very useful utility to provide you with more information than you need. but what it does show is the temperature monitor these whilst playing games and whilst idle.

once you have a rough figure of the temperature have a look at the max operating temperature of you CPU (will have to look online)
if this is close to the danger mark then you will just have to come up with a coolling solution

My n64 doesn't work on ch3

Well it might be that if your tv runs on digital cable like mine then the rf switxch part wont work then so I tried mine on the tvs in the basemant at my Aunt Gails house and the rf switch for N64 works there so you could use the av cables then instead of the rf switch.
12 STARS if this solution is helpful then

I have a Boggle Interactive disc WINDOWS 95, 99021, made by Hasbro and it will not load on to my new computer. It played ok on my old comp but won't load. In fact the comp. doesn't even act like it...

TRY DISABLING YOUR VIRUS PROTECTION FIRST...THEN INSERT YOUR DISK, GO TO SOFTWARE PROGRAMS, CLICK ON INSTALL NEW SOFTWARE...OR YOU CAN TRY LEAVING YOUR DISK IN AND RESTART YOUR COMPUTER, TO SEE IF IT WILL DETECT YOUR SOFTWARE...MORE THAN LIKELY YOU'LL HAVE TO DISABLE YOUR VIRUS PROTECTION FIRST, UNTILL YOUR ABLE TO INSTALL THE SOFTWARE.

DO NOT HAVE YOUR GAME HOOKED UP, UNTILL SOFTWARE IS INSTALLED.

REBOOT YOUR COMPUTER, WITH GAME HOOKED UP, SO THE COMPUTER CAN DETECT YOUR HARDWARE.

HOPE THIS HELPS!

Look at the requirments for those games, it should on the back of the box have system requirements. Thats the minimum that you need in order to play those games.

I can't play any 3D games cause the screen goes Skitzo.

A pci graphics card is not suitable for playing games especially games like WoW. You need to get a new computer with a good graphics card eg, nvidia geforce 9600gt with a core 2 duo/quad processor!

Video card cant play some games

Sorry I just noticed the specs for your comp are in the thread title. These laptops are far too old to play any games that were made in the last 5 years well.

I don't belie there is any fix for this problem and support for this product ended years ago. Sorry but that laptop is just too old to do what you are asking of it.

You should never use a vacuum on a computer. A canister of compressed air is what should be used. Two things could of happened.
1. The CPU was not correctly put back.
2. the vacuums static electricity blew something.
My guess is number 1.
