Keeps telling me magenta is empty, but it isnt. When I remove it and replace it it then keeps telling me there is no cartridge. Its driving me nuts.
I continue taking out and putting back the cartridge. sometimes it then accepts it and sometimes i switch the machine off and try again. Also it isn't printing the blue and this is also full.

My Canon printer is pixma ip 3500. My printer is blinking and when i want to print there is a message "the ink absorber is full". Please help me what is the solution? Thank you very much.

All inkjet printers have a waste ink tank for ink which does not make it on the paper. When it's full, the printer stops working. You might be able to reset the counter in the printer, but unless you also emptied the tank, it won't help. It's like using a chip resetter to tell an empty cartridge it has ink. The "out of ink" error will go away but you still can't print. Unless you want to go through the tedious and messy process of emptying the ink tank, you are best off getting another printer. They're practically disposable today.

I replaced the clear ink tank on mx7600 and the message "the clear ink is empty" will not go away nor will it print in black. The brand new Canon brand clear ink can be seen on the ink tank itself and in...

Yeah, me too. I fiddled with cycling the power, removing and reinserting the tank, doing maintenance tasks like cleaning the jets, yadda, yadda, no dice. New full Canon tank displays empty. Boo.

I figured "What the heck, I'll try printing anyway" and sent a test page on plain paper. It warned me the tank was empty, then did a bunch of those cartridge moves it likes to do (you hear the carriage moving around cleaning or something). After like 90? seconds of cleaning noises, it figured out that the tank was full, the status went to full, and it printed the page fine.

So my advice is, try printing a page anyway.

Whre can i buy mt ink tank for cannon w6400

Hi

We have lots of empty ink tanks and generally throw them away.
I have tried compatable inks that you refill the carts with but none have been sucessful and have caused print head problems.
If you still would like some post your details.

How do you remove the ink cartridges from Canon MP890?

  1. If replacing both ink tanks, remove and replace each one individually.

  2. Make sure the device is powered on.

  3. Lift the scan unit until it locks into place. When the machine is ON and the scan unit is lifted, the paper output tray automatically opens.
  4. Open the inner cover.
  5. Hold the tab and pull it forward to release the ink tank.

  6. Lift out the ink tank.

  7. Remove the new ink tank from its packaging.

  8. Hold the ink tank and remove the protective cap.
  9. Insert the ink tank into the empty slot on the print head.
  10. If you need to replace the other ink tank, repeat steps 4 to 8.

  11. Close the inner cover.

  12. Return the scan unit to its original position. The LCD displays a message asking if you replaced an ink tank.

  13. Press [<] to select <YES>.

I believe that he is reffering to the waste ink tank where the cartriges stop to the right when not being used. There are two small foam pads over there.
I cleaned mine by opening lid and have carriage run to the left, then I reach in with a q-tip and press down repeatly until q-tips are almost clean. You will need a flashlight to see waht you are doing.
