- Keeps telling me magenta is empty, but it isnt. When I remove it and replace it it then keeps telling me there is no cartridge. Its driving me nuts.I continue taking out and putting back the cartridge. sometimes it then accepts it and sometimes i switch the machine off and try again. Also it isn't printing the blue and this is also full.

Go into Brother printer control centre and bring up brother staus. Shows all the colour levels.
Next lift printer cover up and remove carefully the cartridge that is showing empty. replace carefully making sure it is all the way in. On the printer panel push INK MANAGEMENT. scroll through until you find clean. make sure cover is back down and press clean of the particular cartrige you are having a prolem with. ei BLACK press clean black. On the Brother status monitor on your PC you should now see that the black is full
