Question about Tomtom GO 910 GPS Receiver
My 910 is in the frozen state,it doesnt matter what i do ,reset time after time even got the black screen with white writing but sticks at retreving files,thats it,it wont connect to my computer,i bought it in the US just over a year ago never used it there only used it three times here,i did download updates from tom tom,and now i have a paper weight. As i dont have my original receipt tom tom want me to pay for the repair,i dont know what it will cost, but i hate paying for there mistakes as i thing when i downloaded updates they also included a virus for me, i am so sick of this thing the next nav tool i buy will be a map they are cheap and dont give you problems...
when you update the maps favorites are erased the favorites will also remain greyed out untill you have marked atleat one address or location as favorite

Go to this site and get the pdf with pictures on how to do it. Just be careful with the hard drive cable. Delicate tabs.

It is asking you IF you want to connect it to the computer. There is no problem with that. Every time you connect it to a USB port of a computer you are asked if you want to connect it to the computer. If you want to do so Tap Yes; if you don't, tap No. It will do what YOU ask it to do.
Frequent connections to a computer will ensure that your unit has the latest software updates, map corrections through MapShare.
