Is it normal for your light to go from blue to yellow or id that normal? Your board is mainly Intel 865c and ICH5 chipsets. Intel Extreme2 graphics and, ADI 1888 audio. Try shutting system down. Unplug tower for 45 sec to 1 minute. Plug back in and see if it will start in safe mode. If so, Click "start" find "control panel", click on that to open. In your list(icons) find "device manger" Right click on ,open and click continue. Click on box with + next to "dispaly adaptors". You should see a drop down. Right click on this device and you should see "disable". If you see "enable", click on that. Right click on it again and click on properties. You should see "this device is working properly". Exit that. Next click on box next to "processors". Right click on your processor and click on properties, you should see "this device is working properly. Exit that. Next click on the box next to "system devices" llok and see if there are any ? or ! warnings on anything. If there is click on that and see what it recommends. After you perform the recommended action, right click on that device and click on properties. "this device is working properly".
If you have done any updates or made any changes to your system lately, that could also be part of your problem. Especially Windows 7. Hopefully this uncovered your problem. If you have any nore questions let me know at "add a comment" By the way, your system isn't beeping is it? How much ram do you ahve installed?

This sounds like a driver issue for the display adapter. I came accross this one before and unfortunately if you do not have the computer setup already for remote assistance you will need to buy a cheap PCI VGA Adatper and and repair windows using that new card plugged into the PCI slots.

My lcd screen switch goes green and a message appears "going to sleep" and the switch light goes yellow

1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or flashing, but nothing displays, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor needs replaced.

Monitor goes blank less than a second after turning on.

Sounds like either there is a bad connection from the computer to the monitor, or the monitor has a faulty power regulator, causing the monitor to overheat prematurely, and shut off.

Monitor is black...checked all connections..OK. Turned computer off and back on,still no screen. HELP!!!

The first thing I would do if possible is hook up another monitor to the computer to see if that one works. If it does, then your monitor has gone bad. If it doesn't work either, then your video card has gone bad. Did you hear any beeps when you started up your computer? If you did, then this usually means there is something wrong with the video card. Also, sometimes the power button is turned off. Are there any lights lit at all on the monitor and are they green or yellow?
