the lever at the back may be slack and missing the turn-point. Try moving up and down a few times, very gently, this may get the correct position,.

SOURCE: when I turn the key on it beeps 10 times and then

This is the second post to answer the same question. The beep code will begin with 10 very fast beeps, followed by 5 slower beeps. The 5 slower beeps is your actual code. The beep code 5 is a brake fault.
The scooter may be in freewheel mode or there may be a short in the brake.
Make sure the scooter is in drive mode with the rear brake lever in the correct position. If that does not clear the fault you need to check the electromagnetic brake.
To check the brake you need a digital voltmeter. The brake should read 30 to 65 ohms when you read across the pins. You need to measure the resistance at each successive point on the harness because there are 5 connectors. While you are inspecting these plugs, check for corrosion, loose pins, broken wires, and pins not making good contact. Disassemble the front and rear halves of the scooter when you do this.
If all the resistance checks are good up to the controller plug for the brake, you have a bad controller. With that being said, I usually see a bad connection at the multiple points in-between. Sometimes the wires for the brake will melt at the connector at the controller.
Inspect these areas visually, removing the rear cover of the brake/motor/transaxle and the controller. An experienced tech should charge you under 1 hour labor for the diagnosis. You may be able to save some money by checking the obvious areas for unplugged or bad connections first.
The brake will cost about $250, the interface wiring and connectors about $50 and the controller is about $500. For this reason, you should invest in a good tech to diagnose the problem first, before proceeding with any hit and miss do it yourself repairs.
Including a second visit to install the new parts, labor cost should not exceed 2 hours total.
This is a very popular model so you should be able to find an experienced tech in your area.
Hope this helps.

My gogo ultra is showing fully charged and horn beeps, when i put key in it beeps fast 10 times and 5 beeps after

5 beeps usually means scooter is out of gear, but since the lever is in the drive position and the scooter gearbox/differential is engaged, it seems that the controller is not sensing the gear change. Possibly a faulty micro switch in the motor housing can be the cause of this, usually the micro switch is pressed down by the drive lever and if the switch is pressed down the motor controller knows the scooter is in gear.

Why does it beep five times when key is turned on and controls won't work

hi, the 5 bleeps are related to the brake,,, located at the rear of the scooter located on the side of the motor, attached to that is the free wheel lever,, in drive mode ,, check that the microswitch is working correctly, check the wire( connectors etc ) from the brake to the controller ,

Beep codes beeps

Contact a local DME dealer in your area or, on the internet. Give them your serial number for the GOGO to order a new solenoid brake. It is important to have your serial number when ordering to ensure you get the correct part.

Milwaukee M18 recipricating saw beeps, won't run

you possibly have a bearing/gear problem restricting movement of the mechanical parts. I would try and remove the gearcase first and just try the motor section before going any further. This will narrow it down.

Gogo elitescooter lights indicate battery fully charged but scooter will not go

Make sure the free-wheel lever is engaged and the charger is unplugged from the scooter before you try to turn the scooter on. If the battery gauge goes up when you turn the scooter on and there are no beeping sounds you should be good to go.If the battery gauge drops to the red when you try to accelerate slowly, your batteries are shot. (Typical replacement in 24-48 months). If there is any beeping when the key is first turned on then there is a problem and the number of beeps indicates the problem found by the computer during the POST. Beeps and stops

Usually if it beeps 5 times on this model,I have found that either replacing the micro-switch at the brake assy is malfunctioning. You can either choose to have this micro switch replaced or bypass the switch by connecting the 2 wires together that go to & from the switch itself.Hope this helps.
There is also a troubleshooting guide in your owners manual in regards to the number of beeps & the cause.. Barry (medservnw@aol.com)

I HAVE A PRIDE 3 WHEEL GOGO SCOOTER. THE BATTERIES WENT DEAD. I REPLACED THEM AND CHARGED THEM UP. NOW I GET A 5 BEEP CODE WHEN I TRY TO START. IS THERE A LIST OF WHAT EACH CODE IS? THANKS FOR YOUR...

Hi Fred,

Good job on replacing the batteries!
With the go go scooter, a beep code of 5 indicates a solenoid brake trip. This means that the brake manual/freewheel lever may be in the freewheel position. This means that you can push the scooter. Remove the key and push the freewheel lever to the drive position. Restart the scooter and the code should be cleared and the scooter will run. Hope this helps.
