It is usually a rivet, and you might be able to punch it out and replace it.
If not find a hardware store and ask for some JB weld and explain what you are going to use it for. It should hold for a while longer.

How to fix when your paddle is stuck on your cuisinart stand up mixer

The shaft of the paddle is bent. After frustrating discussions with Cuisinart customer service, I was able to free my paddle. First, you will notice that the paddle screws onto the shaft. Unscrew it. Then, take the nut off the shaft. Next, put a wrench on the shaft that is only slightly larger than the shaft, followed by a washer. Next, screw the nut back onto the shaft. Finally, holding the wrench at the end, hit the wrench close to the shaft with a hammer. If the shaft doesn't come out, hit harder. Since the shaft is bent, you'll need to purchase a new paddle.

This is the part. You have to remove all the panels, The drum counter weights and finally the drum. Then you have to remove the inner drum from the plastic outer drum. Once removed you can get to the screws that hold the paddles in place. Then put it all back together. It may be easier to call a repair man in your area.

One of the paddles inside the drum has come loose on one end--broken fastener. How do I take the top off to fix it?

you have to start by taking off the door at the hinges, then the front panel will twist off at the smaller raised portion, about 2 inches wide. once you have the front off, you will see the screws that hold the top to the front.
the drum baffles are held in with screws and if you can just use a bigger screw or just tighten the ones that are there.

Dryer Paddle Loose

Take the four screws, out of the door and remove it. The front of the dryer will fold down and lift off, you will be able to see in side the dryer. If you want to lift the top remove the screws that are now exposed. Along with the brackets the top will now lift up.

This should allow you to access the tumbler.

These are the paddle bits that are inside the drum? If so I had the same problem and I found that the lugs that hold them to the drum were broken.

I fixed mine by using plastic cable ties (=tie-wraps) passed through the slots in the paddles and through holes in the inner drum. It's fiddly getting the ends back out of the space between the outer and inner drums - I used another tie-wrap bent into a loop and stuffed into a suitable hole to "catch" the end of the tie I was fitting. It's not a pretty solution but it works and it is almost free!

If this "fixes ya", I'd appreciate a rating for my reply, If not, please delay the rating and add a comment with any extra info you have and I will try to think of something else.

Thanks, D
