Try to sinchronize mouse again , by pressing the little button at the base of the mouse. Ensure there is no electric device (power adapter etc.) very near to the mouse receiver unit.
If it keep happening very often the mouse bluetooth receiver it is probably faulty, check if you still have guaranty for product, many wireless set have one yoer guaranty from factory.

You may have to pair each device again. The mouse is paired already but the keyboard and other devices you have to pair up with the computer again somewhere along the line they were turned off and deleted in the program files. You can get further assistance at Dell.com

I have an inspiron laptop. the two USB on the side stopped working all of a sudden however when I checked the computer stated that they are working fine

may i know what device was connected to those ports?try connecting a mouse to the same ports and see whether it is detected. If it works well and fine.Other wise goto Control panel>>System>>Device manager>>Universal Serial Bus Controllers>>Here, delete all the USB Root hubs.If you are removing them using a mouse connected, then u might lose the mouse response after u delete the USB Root hubs. Please note this.Restart the system after deleting all the Root hubs and wait for a few seconds for them to get installed back.Restart again and confirm whether the issue is resolved
