Question about Whirlpool Washing Machines
Set the timer on spin, open the lid and with a screw driver stick it into the hole that the strike on the lid closes down into, see if it spins and drains,if it doesn't lift the screw driver up and push it down into the hole,if you don't hear any clicking at all the switch is bad or if it does start with the screw driver the lid switch also has to be changed out.check this site out, also give the parts store the model number off of your washer to get the correct lid switch or next time send the model number and i can look up the part for you.good luck and let me know how you make out.
