Cut the cord. what is the color code of the wires? I have a green, black and a white wire.

Hello, black is the line or "hot" wire. White is the neutral and green is the ground wire.. On the cord end the black goes to the smaller of the two parallel blades and the white to the larger. The green goes to the one that is more round, the ground.

Power cord was ran over by lawn mower and cut into a black and white wire from inside was unplugged at this time I need to know where does white and black wire plug back in

Is this 110 volt or 220 volt?

110 = white wire goes to the neutral side of the circuit ... or the silver color screw on the plug. The black wire goes to the brass color screw ... or the "hot" side of the plug. The green wire goes to the green screw.

220 = youwill find on the 220 20 amp plug there are two brass colored screws + a green screw for the ground.

Need wiring schematics for Haier HWR12XC5 AC

My friend ... you are doing a simple repair ... you don't need a wiring schematic to replace this power cord. When you get the unit open ... you will find the other end of the ripped cord ... black goes to black, white goes to white green goes to green or ground. In fact ... you will trim the end of the cord and reattach it using either crimp connectors or wire nuts.

white and black are power green is ground the ground should be marked on the plug the black and white does not matter as long as the are on the power terminals they are across from each other the ground is by itself at bottom of plug W B

Power cord wiring, what is each color?

Your asking about the end that goes into the wall correct?

99% of the line cords I have seen (in the US) Have a green, white, and black wire where:

Black = Hot
White = Neutral
Green =Ground

I would suggest you use a multimeter to find which wire does what without checking it directly I would need More specifics about the laptop/power supply

I have to change the power cord of my dryer. the new power cord has 4 pronge. the 4 wires colors are red,white,black and green. on the dryer i have only 3 wire: red,blue,black. i want to know witch wire...

  • green = ground (attach directly to the case, should be a green painted screw near the opening
  • red = hot 110v connect to the red on the dryer
  • black = hot 110v connect to the black on the dryer
  • white = neutral connects to the blue (only if the blue is in the middle)
  • neutral is always in the middle with a hot wire on either side of it.
  • also make sure all the connections are tight
let me know if you need more help Mike
