Optiplex won't boot to FAT USB

if it says f1 to continue, just press f1 to continue.

If is something realy stupid dell put into there early line of computers.
Not quite sure how to disable it lol , as it is really anoying and if i could have i would have.

Another option is to just burn the image to disc, as a sure fire way to resolve the problem. But most likely hitting f8 repeatedly at boot and selecting the device will resolve the issue. Or going into bios, selecting the usb drive as the primary boot device and MAKIND SURE TO SAVE SETTINGS BEFORE CLOSING BIOS WITH F10. it seems kind of remedial, but we all make mistakes lol

Can't enter BIOS

Hi there.
  • Boot the system. Press F2 to enter the BIOS setup.
  • Press ALT-F
  • Press ALT-B
  • Computer will restart and display a message indicating it is re-detecting IDE drives. After a minute or so, Windows will start. Test the device that wasn't working before.
  • If you want to restore other BIOS settings you have set, such as the boot sequence, you will have to restart the computer and enter BIOS setup again.
If this does not work try another usb keyboard in the same port.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!
