There is a system partition on the laptop that allows you to return the laptop back to how you got it from the shop. Please be aware that you will need to copy anything you have on there to an external drive otherwise it will be deleted on completion of the restor. When you first switch the laptop on hit the f11 key then choose repair your computer and choose reset to factory

First restart your Toshiba laptop. Press either "F1," "0," or "F8" to be taken to your computer's hard drive utility screen. The key command differs depending on the model Toshiba computer that you own.

Select "Restore Original Factory Image" from the list of options in System Recovery. Verify that you want to continue the process by clicking "Yes," then click "Next".

Restart the Toshiba laptop once the factory restore process has been completed. You will be prompted to enter information such as the date, time and language preferences.

Error codes starting with 10 on Toshiba laptops point to a hard drive failure. The drive is most likely dead and cannot be revived. You will need to replace the drive and then reinstall the operating system.

I have a Toshiba laptop model# C655-S5501 with a bad keyboard (Gator Aid!). I can't find an exact model # match through Amazon. Will the "Eathtek NEW Keyboard For TOSHIBA SATELLITE C655-S5128 C655

Check eBay. I've been working on computers for years and order ALL of my replacement keyboards through eBay. I just found 9 of them after entering your model number; about $16 with free shipping. Sarawill82 hit the nail on the head for the replacement; you tube is your friend if you're doing it yourself. If it doesn't have your exact laptop, look at other videos. It will give you an idea what you need to look for to replace the keyboard.

It beats paying a computer store a $45+ bench fee, and it will only take you about 15 minutes as a novice.

Don't try to clean it; you could cause more extensive damage than just replacing the keyboard.

There are different models of Toshiba Satellite C655 (about 9 models) and some have webcam and microphone built into LCD bezel (like Satellite C655-S5052 or Satellite C655-S5113) and some don't (like Satellite C655-S5068 and Satellite C655-S5049).
