Question about Asko T711 Electric Dryer

1 Answer

I cannot find the part to order for my Asko T711 dryer. When running, it seems to be hot, but it takes a long time to draw out the moisture. It also does not shut off after the clothes are totally dry. IF there is a thermostat or control unit, i can replace it. I just cannot locate the repair manual only a user guide, which does not help. Any help would be appreciated. Thx.

Hello, Welcome to FixYa. I have a service manual I can send you via email, but I'd need you to post an email address as it is too large to post here. How is the air could be a clogged blower wheel or a faulty moisture sensor. The service manual will certainly help you locate & check those. Again let me know and we can move forward. Regards, Macmarkus :)

    Hello again,

Thank you for the reply. You actually caught me away from my PC ( on my iphone ) but I will certainly send that "pdf" info asap. If you are alright with waiting I should have access to my PC in a couple of hours and email you for the Asko.

Most often the top panel is the first to be removed, a couple screws in the back and then lift and slide forward. That normally gives access to view how the rest of the puzzle went together.I changed bearings on my Crosley and never did move the front cover. This might give you a place to start while waiting for a better answer.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

If you have already cleaned the vent then the problem is with the Thermal fuse. When the thermal fuse goes bad it cannot be reset and replacing it is recommended repair. It is located on the blower wheel housing inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct. You can test it for continuity before replacing. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Welcome to FixYa.

To answer your question, it depends on which thermostat`s it is you`d like to know about.

Attached below is the location of the cycling thermostat`s and below that is the location of the reset-able safety thermostat. It is on the back wall under the black rubber cap I`m pointing at in the 2nd photo.

Cycling in front blower

Hi-limit reset-able thermostat.

Hope this answers your question, but let me know if you need anything else...I`ve got more info on the Asko washer, dryer, and dishwashers.

Thanks for choosing FixYa. Please take a moment to leave a testimony and rate the info I provided.

Good luck.

My ASKO T702C dryer just stopped working. It starts but after 5 mins it just turns off. Any suggestions?

Try opening the bottom vent panel and pulling out the filter box (there are directions and handles)... hold the filter under running hot water for a while and you should see all this nasty stuff come out. Worked for me!
