Right click printer properties and select online. Start /settings /printers. Offline can also indicate a connection is not available - this occurs with demo versions of printer software. When the demo expires, the printer goes offline. The fix is to just use windows networking and shared printer.

unplug the USB lead and plug it back in...if no response try another USB port, if still no response use a different lead or put a gentle bend in the one you have to make the connection tighter....make sure the printer is on of course

data cable connection may be loosen you may tight the connection on both side i.e on computer side as well as on printer side.
or you may try with another data cable to connect
