It would probably do the trick for video but no audio. If your tv has HDMI taht you can use you can gain audio and video with a VGA to HDMI adaptor. I haven't looked but they probably make on that will from VGA to component with digital optical.

How to connect asus p1801-t to tv ?

This PC is equipped with a NVIDIA GeForce GT 630 2GB DDR3 VGA/DVI/HDMI PCI-Express Video Card. This means if your TV has an HDMI input connector you can directly connect the pc to the Tv with an HDMI cable and select the corresponding graphics monitor connection in the Display properties. Alternatively if your tv has only got a VGA input that can also be used from the PC and you can connect the speaker or headphone audio output to the audio input of the TV with a suitable 3.5 headphone to RCA adapter.

Connect Dell Inspiron 6400 to VIZIO E601i-A3 60-inch 1080p LED HDTV using VGA Connector

When you connect the vizio try changing the resolution settings on your laptop to see if that makes a difference. Could be that your video card output is not really compatible with the higher requirements of the Vizio.

Can i hook my lap top up to this tv to get netflix? How?

Hello
This model CRT tv cannot be connected directly to lap top. Laptop has VGA output and there is no VGA input to this TV. Tv has only AV sockets to connect in. You must have a VGA to Audio Video converter to be used in between TV and Laptop. This device can be bought from electronc shops. It will have a VGA input, and audio video output. You have to connect your laptop to this device using a VGA to VGA connecter, and from this devices' output, you will get audio video output, which can be connected to TV and select the TVs' input to AV. OK.

ASUS adapter for 501J series has a short in the cord. Am in need for a Model # ADP-65JH Input 100-240V Output 19V - 3.24A. What do I need to order. E-mail: [email protected]

You need a mains adapterthat has Input 100-240V Output 19V - 3.24A and the input plug that fits into the power socket of your laptop. It does not need to be from ASUS.

Google search the Internet for a suitable power adapter, make sure the output voltage is the same and the amps is 3.24 or higher.

How i can connect the tv as my computer moniter

Does your TV have a "VGA" input? If so, then connect the VGA-output from your computer's video-card to that VGA-input.

Does your TV have a "DVI" input? If so, then connect the DVI-output from your computer's video-card to that DVI-input.

Does your TV have a "S-Video" input? If so, then connect the S-VIdeo-output from your computer's video-card to that S-Video-input.

Note that only _SOME_ video-cards have DVI output or S-Video output. Check your video-card.

I connected my computer to my TV via a VGA to RCA component cable and no image is showing up on the television.

I have two suggestions. First, make sure your TV is set up to receive inputs from the RCA jacks you're plugging the cable into. Second, you may have to change the screen resolution on the computer to something the TV can handle. To do this plug the VGA cable back into your normal monitor. Right click in the field. Left click on properties or personalize, depending on your operating system. Then left click on setting or display settings. There should be a slider bar where you can change the screen resolution. I'm guessing it's probably set too high for your TV. Try reducing it and then plug the VGA cable back into the RCA jack converter. I hope this helps you out.

No video output. what video cards are compatible?

Hello,

Your MB takes a PCI Express x16 (max. 2GB/s, x4 mode) video card.

Please note the warning in your manual on Page 1-22 about using "Qualified" graphics cards. Here is a link to your manual:

http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socket775/P5GL-MX/e2222_p5gl-mx.pdf

If you are not getting video, have you tried to reinstall the VGA driver? Just a thought. You can get it by typing your model number into the search box on the Asus support site.(Just use P5GL-MX.)

Why won't my tv display my computer screen

Hi. The best way to hook your computers display to your LCD screen will be to use the VGA input socket. If your video card can support both S-video input and VGA, you can use either one but, the VGA is best for optimal resolution. This is the easy way to do this. Step one, connect the VGA cable to the computers video card and then, run the other end of this same cable to the VGA input slot on the LCD screen.Step 2, next you will make sure that the LCD's input selection is selected to show what is being transferred from the CPU video card by using the input button on the lcd remote control. The lcd(your tv) should be on VGA or PC input signal. Step 3, now, you Will have to also make sure that your video card is set to transfer this signal as well by pulling up your video cards software window and switch to the proper options. once this is done, you should get a signal. Be sure to use the VGA input/output ports on both the lcd television and your cpu for optimal transfer of the video stream. Here is a pic of your back panel. use the input port labeled I for good PC input quality.

I am trying to connect my PC to my TV. I have a Sharp HDTV and my PC is a Toshiba with windows XP. I have a componert video cable which is connected to the TV and PC. I have used Fn and F5 didn't work....

what model of TV was it please,
Does your computer have tv out video card installed?
For video to tv you will need a vga to tv converter, this is an external device and will work on the computers vga output straight into a vga input and give you 1 x vga out,1 x rca out, 1 x s/video out, comes supplied all prebuilt with onboard graphics solution. no extra power required runs straight of vga output.
Once the computers video output is established then set the TV up to tune into the converters output signal.
HD TV can be set up to run thru rca and components and if model is late enough shuld come equip with serial vga input for computers.Other than that HDMI seems to be the better quality of picture over rca component.Cost verses dollar really and function.

Cheap fix VGA to TV CONVERTER
Expensive Fix HDMI to HDMI

(it is posible to hdmi over cat5e)
NO COMPARISON FOR QUALITY.
