When you hit Save or Apply in the Control Panel, the driver remembers the settings. You did that right.

The problem might be when the computer restarts, that the graphics card doesn't correctly check for the SVIDEO output, OR your monitor is missing a resistor (some Sony and Panasonic) on the Chroma output that tells the video BIOS that there is actually something attached (DC-coupled). The latest NVIDIA drivers can detect AC-coupled monitors on the latest GPUs, but since the VBIOS sets the environment, the driver may not check again.

It is possible that uninstalling the video driver and installing a newer one might solve the problem

I can't shutoff closed caption. Tried using menu on the tv and the remote

Both a cable box and and a DVD work the same. The CC is included with the picture sent to the TV. The only time the TV controls and activates CC is when you are using an antenna. If the CC is not turning off then it is likely that you are connected to a cable service and the settings in the cable box need to be changed.

If you have a cable service remote then there is likely a button dedicated to closed captions. If not you will need to go into menu settings of the cable box and deactivate the closed captions. (cc)
Even though the DVD is integrated into the TV the settings for the DVD are separate. If while playing a DVD CC are on it is not the TV settings but the DVD so as the cable box the same is true.. You will need to go into menu settings of the DVD player and deactivate.

Hope this helps?

When i plug in anything to the HDMI ports on my TV i can get audio but no video. This was working find until the other day, is there a way to reset this?

best bet is to buy a new HDMI cable and if it works in your tv then you know it was the original that was faulty but if not then the problem will be the TVs HDMI slot... if so then try testing the HDMI cable in the multiple HDMI slots on your tv (also trying both ends in each device) and if its still not working then try the TV setting but i dont think there is a setting but its worth a try :)

How to use rca entertainment series 32 inch as pc monitor

Assuming that your RCA 32 inch tv has an HDMI or VGA input, all you need is the proper cable to connect the two units. If your computer has a VGA out (blue female connector) and so does your TV, you would need a male to male VGA cable. If your computer has a DVI out (white connector), you would need to purchase a DVI to HDMI cable. The combinations can me played around with depending on what connectors are on the back of the TV and what you have as an output for your PC.

No signal from coax input on 32" lcd

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Due to two things that will cause the No Signal message to come up are – no data available for closed captioning and a weak signal input. Your TV is in the Closed Captioning Mode. To turn off simply bring up the on screen menu and scroll down to the part that says closed captioning and turn this function off! With the closed captioning block displayed and the program being viewed is not sending out closed captioning signals the TV will display, No Signal!

If this doesn’t resolve your issue then the problem may be with the processor failing and it is causing a random read of the EPROM to display the No Signal message.

I’ll suggest you to run the HDMI from the PVR (personal video recorder) directly to the TV (mute the TV), and then run the optical audio from the PVR directly into the receiver's optical in. The closed captioning is something that is addressed in analog broadcasts, but not necessarily digital broadcasts.

Try using Component cables if this doesn’t make a difference. After using components cables your issue will be resolved.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Rylee

FLX03210 Element LCD TV woun't turn on if VGA input was used.

I owned this set for 1.5 years with no problem until I used the VGA input port. I could watch movies from my laptop for about 3 days, then my TV wouldn't turn on? The red power light was on but the light never turned blue indicating the set is on.

I searched this set on line and found this problem was very common with this set. I believe it is a manufacture defect that they didn't have a recall for.

I am going to replace the LCD control board, that should take care of the problem. I saw a used one on ebay for $69. With this board having known problems, I didn't dare try a used one.

Samsung LCD tv - Turns on and off by itself.

Since you have another TV with the same problem you can try using an antenna(indoor model ok) to see if the cable is causing the problem. If not return TV before the warranty expires.

Connecting Toshiba Lap Top to NEC LCD TV

From user manual (page 68):
Your computer comes with a built-in display panel, but you can also
connect an external display device to an available video port, as
follows:
❖ An external monitor or projector via the RGB (monitor) port
❖ A TV, VCR, or DVD recorder via the S-video (TV-out) port
Before connecting an external monitor or video projector, configure
your computer for the type of device you are connecting. To do this,
refer to the documentation for your operating system and devices

So you have to use an RGB cable or a S-video cable : your cable should be plugged into 15 pin VGA port in your PC and plug it into a correspondent port in your TV.
Try also S- video and select correponding input in your TV set (Both connection type DO NOT carry sound: use your audio connector from PC to TV audio input.)
Configure your extended screen using your manual instruction:
Once you have connected an external display device, you can
choose to use the internal display only, the external device only, or
both simultaneously. The quickest way to change the display output
settings is to use the display hot key (Fn + F5):
1 Press Fn and F5 simultaneously.
2 While holding down Fn, press F5 repeatedly until the setting
you want takes effect. Briefly pause each time you press the F5
key to allow time for the display to change.
This hot key cycles through the settings in the following order:
❖ Built-in display only
❖ Built-in display and external monitor simultaneously
❖ External monitor only
❖ Built-in display and TV
❖ TV only
