Question about Cobra Radio Communications

Open Question

I have programmed my Cobra SR900 scanner using frequencies obtained from the Internet. I have reviewed the codes I programmed and they show up as I entered them. The unit seems to scan but no calls come through. Volume and squelch are set as directed in manual. Antenna is also extended.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: NO SQUELCH

I have a Radio Shack Pro 97 Scanner that I received as a present 1-1/2 years ago. It was working just fine and then suddenly there was no squelch or volume. The keys make noise when pushed, but there is no sound for the squelch or volume. The scanner scans the frequencies but does not stop and play. I went on line and found that other people were having the same problems. I went back to the store that the unit was purchased from and received no help what so ever, they said it’ s off warranty and I was out of luck, nice way to do business??. I think that something that cost as much as this should not be junk after a short period of time. I hope you can help me with this problem I do like radio shack, but I can’t afford to buy items that don’t stand up.

Sincerely

Greg Stevens

SOURCE: Radio Shack PRO-49 handheld scanner. Turns on,

The "hot" pin inside the BNC antenna connector is probably broken or disconnected internally.

How do you program a bearcat bc55xlrt scanner with a code?

There are no codes, only frequencies. For a comprehensive database of active frequencies in your area, visit:

www.RadioReference.com

To program your BC55XLT:

Turn on radio.

It will be in scan mode. Press Manual (orange button) to stop scanning.
Press Manual button to step through channels to get to the one you want.
(Or press channel number and then manual button)

If "LockOut" is displayed it means this channel isn't being "Scanned."
You will want to lock out constant "broadcast" services such as NOAA or airport weather. Pressing Lockout will toggle the feature on and off.

Select a channel to program. Use the keypad to enter frequency. Use "E" for Enter
key. If the radio displays an E this means Error. Usually, the
frequency you typed in is outside of the capabilities of the scanner.

Once you hit the E you will immediately start hearing anything that's
out there on the frequency you entered.

Push the "Review" button and the scanner will display the frequency
that is programmed for the channel. A "-" will be displayed for the
decimal point.

PROGRAM FREQ IN BC142XL

Its so easy to use you really don't need a manual for the Uniden BC
142XL scanner.

Turn it on. Push the MANUAL button to stop it from scanning.

Push number 1, then push MANUAL again. This should leave you on
channel one.

Using the keypad enter the frequency you want to monitor, then push
E. Press REVIEW at anytime to see what frequency is programmed
there. If the review button flashes 000.0000 on the display, you might be entering an invalid frequency. Refer to the frequency coverage list below.

Push MANUAL to step to channel number two. Enter the frequency. Push E. Push MANUAL to step to channel three. Repeat this process until all ten channels are programmed, or you've run out of frequencies to enter.

Push "SCAN" to start automatically scanning the frequencies. The
radio will stop when it hears someone talking, and resume scanning two
seconds after the conversation has stopped.

Frequency Coverage:

20 to 29.7 MHz (10 Meter "Ham" Band)
29.7 to 50 MHz (VHF Low Band)
50 to 54 MHz (6 Meter Amateur Band)
136 to 144 MHz (Military Land Mobile)
144 to 148 MHz (2 Meter "Ham" Band)
406 to 420 MHz (Federal Government Land Mobile)
420 to 450 MHz (70cm "Ham" Band)
450 to 470 MHz (UHF Standard Band)
470 to 512 MHz (UHF "T" Band)

Cannot for the life of me figure out how to program this!

You need to obtain local frequency numbers for your area.
google search, "radio frequencies" and you county, city name...it'll give you lists of frequencies to enter into your scanner..
Your user manual should show you the step by step with which buttons to push... are you having difficulty entering the frequency numbers?
