    Hello Karen,

The model number you have given does not cross reference with F&P. To locate the model number there should be a plate on the inside wall or face of the oven that will give you the model and serial of the oven in question. Please post back to this thread and I will be happy to assit you in removing the element in question.

Hi - Serial # is RFD154368 & Model is RA610FW. Apparently it is an oven made by F&P specifically for Farmers. Hope this helps. Thanks.

there is a safety stat/fuse on top of the oven exterior i think you will find that it also has blown. Make sure you have isolated the appliance at the fuse board first though, Good Luck

SOURCE: MY BOTTOM ELEMENT & MY TOP ELEMENT WILL NOT

It would be very unlikely that both elements went out at the same time. Is it possible that one element went out a long time again and went unnoticed?

Do this: Turn your oven on BROIL and the temperature up all the way and see if the top element begins heating.

Then turn it on COOK and see if the bottom element comes on.

If both elements fail to work then your problem may be in the selector or thermostat control. You may also have a wire that has come loose (or burned loose).

If you are comfortable working with electricity, you can turn the circuit breaker off and remove the controls for testing. Also, verify that all the wires are properly attached.

If you are not comfortable, have a service technician check it out immediately. It scares me that there may be a loose wire behind the control panel!

If one of the elements worked and one did not then the problem is "most likely" a bad element. Turn off the circuit breaker to your oven and make sure all the knobs are off on the oven and you can remove the element and take it to a parts store for replacement.

It is easy to remove. Take out the wire shelves and unscrew the screws where the element goes into the back of the cooking cabinet. There will be some wires attached which should pull off.

    Good Luck!

Bottom element has failed. Probably 2 screws at rear to remove & replace. Disconnect fast-ons from rear - extract element - replace. best to get electrician to do this - simple job & element should be inexensive. - Rick

I have a Diplomat 600 fan assisted oven. When switched on, the fan can be heard running, but the oven does not heat at all. Any ideas please? Is this likely to be expensive to rectify?

    Hi.
It is going to be a faulty oven element.
Remove the cover at the rear of the oven compartment, and see if there is a round heater element there, if there is, then it will be the element that needs to be replaced.
If no element there, then it will be either the top element of the oven , or rhe base element which is not visible, that is faulty.
If there is base element, then it can only be accessed from outside of the main oven by removing the outer panels, and is located at the bottom of the main oven.
    Hope this helps.

Thermador SC301T heating elements not working (top and bottom). elements look fine, oven turns on but elements stay cold.... any help would be appreciated. thanks, Tony

Its the thermal safety switch. When it trips - it cuts any power from reaching BOTH elements. Open the oven door - at the top wehere the oven latch is - remove the long black panel. In the middle - on the right is a small cylindrical switch...push down on the top - in the very center...it will rest the switch (like a circuit breaker) and then reassemble. Just did it on mine (2nd time) and it fired right up. Good luck

Oven does not work, but the range top will?

Hi, Are both the bake and broil elements out?You will need to test the bake element first. Sometimes the element will have bubbles in it where it went bad. UNPLUG the range and remove the 2 screws holding the element in. With an OHM meter, check the element to see if it has continuity. If the test shows an open circuit, replace the element. If the test shows a closed circuit, there could be a bad wire connection, or a problem with the thermostat/clock assembly.
The clock assembly cost is around $100.00.
It might be a good idea to call a repaiarman out to be sure.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

My oven doesn't work but the broil and top section does. I remove the cover from the oven burner section and saw a glow.

Hi, Sounds like it might be the element. If you shut off the power to the oven and rmove the element some that you can test it. Check and see if the element has any bubbles formed on it like it has burned through. If it lookes ok, test continuity to make sure that it has not breaks in it. If I can help further, please let me know.

    Thanks,Vic

Bottom oven element will not heat up, 15 amp on top panel looks ok

The bottom element is probably burned out and needs to be replaced. If you have a continuity tester you can remove the bottom element and do a continuity test on it to be sure.

AEG U7101-4 Top Oven tripping the fuse after a few minutes

It is more than likely the oven element, as it gets
hotter the insulation in the element is breaking down and causing the trip to operate..
Remove the panel at the rear of the oven and you will see the element there, undo the screws and pull the element towards you, carefully, detach the 2 wires and remove the element.
Be careful not to lose the 2 wires behind the oven rear.
    Replace with new element.
Cannot give you a part number, you will have to go to aeg web site.

    Whirlpool oven heating element

Are you trying to replace the stove top element, or oven element? For the stove top element, just lift up the side opposite where it plugs in and pull straight out.

The oven element usually have one or two screws holding a plate in near where the elements go into the back of the oven. Remove the screws and pull straight out. Reverse the procedure to install a new element. The top broil element will be secured in with a couple brackets to hold it up, these must be unscrewed, removed, and then pull the broil element out.

Remember to turn off power to the range before replacing any of the elements.
