One of the most common things is the router needs to be reset. Before going through anything complicated, try unplugging your router. Give it 30 seconds or so, then plug it back in. Your netbook should discover your wireless signal after about 20 seconds or so, then try connecting to a webpage to see if it worked.

Cannot accress WiFi on Sylvania SYBET7WIC-BK-Z

The Sylvania Netbook is an inexpensive 7-inch device that is convenient for accessing the Internet on public or private Wi-Fi networks. It is not intended to replace a regular computer for daily tasks; its purpose is to provide a lightweight unit to access social media and perform small tasks. The netbook defaults to mobile websites, but it does a good job at what it is intended to do. Connecting to Wi-Fi networks with your Sylvania Netbook requires configuring the device properly.

Boot up the Sylvania Netbook by pushing the manual switch below the screen. Push the F9 key to turn on the Wi-Fi on the device. Select the little wireless icon in the toolbar at the bottom; it looks like a small computer. Choose the "Wireless Information" tab. This will show the online status of the device, as in whether it has connected to the Internet. If you have checked the box beside this option, this tab also notifies you when new networks are available. If the status shows that you have connected. You may need to add your wireless router manually in the setup. Do this by choosing, "Add New." Obtain the necessary setup information from your wireless Internet provider. If you have an encrypted network, you will need to fill in that information about your router. To configure the wireless setup further, click on the name of the wireless network. Click on "Advanced Settings" and adjust your connection choices; this tab determines the order of connection if there is more than one network available. Another important setting on this tab is the "Allow Windows to configure my wireless settings" option. Check that box. Click the "Internet Explorer" icon on the desktop. If you are online, you will pull up the Google homepage. Hope this helps.

Please check in the Network connection whether the Connection status shows Limited/Local only.
If in case the it shows Limited Only, then follow the steps:
1) Unistall Network Driver and restart then Reinstall the Network Driver.
2) Installed Updated Driver from the Manufacture Site. restart.
3) This should resolve the issue. If the connection status show Connected/ Internet. Then Configure the Wireless connection, by accessing the Router. Check the Router configuration and computer's configuration,.

from another computer, go to the routers configuration screen and make sure the status shows that it is connected to the internet. Also the routers internal LanIP address must be 192.168.1.1 for the netbook to work.

Yes how you connect to the internet with your sylvania 7" netbook what programs you use to connect to the internet

Make sure your DHCP routers LanIP is setup as 192.168.1.1(nothing else will work). This is needed for wireless or wired access. On the Sylvania netbook press fn-F9 keys to turn on the wireless access. click and launch the wireless icon on the bottom of the screen and choose your wireless network from the information tab and click connect. Look at the connection status below the wireless list.

MSI U120 Netbook Internet Connection Problem? After months of working at an adequate level, the netbook stopped detecting wireless networks. What happened? There's nothing wrong with the internet. The...

At times, a netbook or notebook can create multiple duplicate links to the same network. Each one will diminish the strength of the connection by a little bit and you should clean them out so that there is only one.

Also, it makes sense to use the MAC address on the server side, such that only a netbook with your unique MAC address can connect to the wireless connection. It saves energy/strength if that is your only real security stopper, since like fingerprints, there are no such things as duplicate MAC addresses.

Try making those changes you might just find a cleaner, stronger connection to your WiFi at home.

Good Luck,

you will need to add the wireless network manually.
First you will need to remove the network from the prefered network list. I believe the Operating system on the computer is XP. and the security on the wireless network is WEP. make sure that you are typing the correct network key.

Is there a way to switch from wireless to wired internet on asamsung np-n310 netbook.

Yes I looked up the specs of your netbook and it shows you have an ethernet port but there is no phone modem. Just disable your wireless connection and plug in your wired connection.
To disable your connection open Network Connections in Control Panel and right click your wireless network (you enable it the same way).
Here is the link for your netbook specs http://www.samsung.com/ca/consumer/office/mobile-computing/netbook/NP-N310-JA01CA/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=spec&fullspec=F
