SOURCE: Left Channel not working

Not unless youve had solid state trouble shooting experience and experience soldering and unsoldering. If you havent, you should take the unit to a repair shop, as there are no user replaceable parts inside this unit. Your problem is probably the output IC or associated componet. Good Luck

SOURCE: Low to no volume output from Integra DTR-5.2 receiver

most higher end integra's have a input level adjusment or input selection for each and every input. Perhaps you are not on the correct input, go to onscreen programming and check out the input level and input select - also try the tape in another input like tape 2 or cd. It will not hurt the receiver for a test. Also, if you are using the cheap cables from the manufacturer - try a pair of cables that you know work or go by some. BTW, you don't need to spend $40 for cables order them online through amazon or other store. Gold / sliver plated oxygen free are best.

SOURCE: Volume really low, even when turned right up

So the speakers and the individual amp channels work so that lets out the obvious big hardware items.

This is starting to sound like an obscure setting was set or changed by mistake.

It would be nice to figure out what that is/was in case it happens again but you may eventually have to resort to resetting the receiver to factory defaults and start over by holding the1/0 button for 5 seconds.

Why does my lowrey organ not make a sound after I have switched it on?

This is a generic answer for this kind of question.
When there is no sound
Check the obvious.
Is there a light on the organ indicating it is on?
  • Plug it in to a known working wall socket, switch on at the wall
  • Switch on at the organ, check light
  • Very old keyboards need a voice to be selected!!
  • Turn master volume up
  • Turn any other volumes up
  • i.e. lower manual volume
  • upper manual volume
  • swell pedals down
Sometimes a sustain pedal plugged into a volume pedal socket will mute the output, check this.
Headphones out, most headphones will turn speakers off, sometimes the headphone switch can be dodgy, work the headphone plug in an out a few times
There maybe a switch that turns off the speakers, look near the output sockets
Software volumes up, check display, if any.
MIDI instruments, check local control is ON
Still no sound?
Can you hear anything from the speakers?
Hiss or hum usually means the speaker is ok
Total silence may indicate speaker failure, but only if there is one speaker, as in older home organs, or smaller keyboards
Try headphones next, TURN Down master volume first just in case!
If there is some sound, very quiet and gross distortion then possible power amplifier failure.
If your instrument has any kind of line out as well as a headphone jack, try these.
The line output will likely be a pair of phono sockets, like you have on HiFi equipment, 1/4 inch, 6.35mm jacks, like the bigger headphone connector, a 3.5mm socket like the smaller headphone connector, or even a DIN connector on older equipment.
Connect these to the aux (or Line or CD) input on your HiFi, guitar amp or similar. (some times these outputs will drive headphones, usually you will only hear anything in the left side). If this works then it is very likely the power amplifier.
Further tests on MIDI equipped keyboards would be to see if the MIDI does anything.
If MIDI out works and there is no sound, and MIDI in makes a sound this points to local being off, buried somewhere in the menu will be local on or off, make sure it is on.
If MIDI out doesn't work then the failure is likely to be internal power supply or something else critical (not nnecessarily major).
Power amplifier failures in newer, low power, keyboards are often the power amplifier chips (i.c,s), older amplifiers may have just blown their fuses but one or more output transistors may have failed.
Cost of repair will be down to the time it takes to get to the fault, taking these to bits and putting them back can take a lot longer than the repair.!
Hope this helps, Chris the Fader

Very low volume

It seems its preamplifier is faulty. Mostly repairs are unfortunately not cost effective.

Kenwood A722L no sound and volume led blinking

This could be due to a faulty speaker relay (if your unit uses one). Normally, the unit will "wait" a couple of seconds after you turn the unit on. Then you will hear a "click" and the sound will begin coming through the speakers. If the relay is faulty, it would cause the problem you describe.

Sound problem

Try cleaning the volume control with an electronics switch cleaner spray. If that does not resolve the problem and it seems to happen at low volumes more than load volumes, then the output relay needs to be replaced. Keep us posted. Dan

Old Technics turntable got a buzzing sound

sounds like the input to your hifi is a line level input.to use an old turntable you need a phono pre amp to make it work.try maplins or a local independent hifi shop.

I just bought a KDC MP-235 to put in a 95 camaro with bose amplified speakers. I ordered a amplifier intergration component to reduce the output of the 50 watt per channel head unit as to have better...

Hi,

Yes, the Kenwood KDC MP-235 has two (2) line level outputs (RCA types red & white). However, these outputs internally passed through an electronic crossover/filter making them appropriate for subwoofer amps only.

If your unit is an MP-235CR, then the same outputs would be for the rear amp (not subs) and are full range (unfiltered).

If indeed your unit is an MP-235 and if I may make a suggestion, still connect the Kenwood to four (4) speakers. It would not be technically correct to leave the internal amps operating with no load (speakers) connected. Additionally, you would be getting 200 watts (4 X 50) more to your system (since it is already there).

If your Bose amp & speaker are subs, then no issue, however if the Bose is for a full range of speakers, then only the woofer part would be working efficiently.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

AMp keeps blowing fuses

When any amp blows fuses, this indicates that something is drawing too much current. The most common cause are components in the output stage and driver stages that have become defective.

On the amp that is blowing the fuse with the volume being turned up, this means that the output stage is partially working. The short or over-draw of current must be in the output stage, or what is loading it. It is possible in this case that a crossover in a speaker unit is defective, and is drawing too much current. I have seen this with especially sub-woofer crossovers, and the driver itself. Subs pull a lot of current because of the amount of drive power required to have very strong bass sounds. Other than that, this still does not rule out the possibility of the problem being defective components in the amplifier.
