Question about Priori idebenone Moisture facial Cream

1 Answer

Hi, I've been using the priori idebenone facial moisturising cream for a week and have experienced the worst flare-ups ever. Whenever i apply the cream it burns my face and i'm sure my skin has become sensitive since using it. Is this a normal reaction that in order for the cream to do it's job 'it gets worse before it gets better'? I am also concerned that this cream shoud not be used by pregnant women (it says so on a site www.dermacaredirect.co.uk) because it contains retinol. I have emailed the company through it's official website based in the US with these concerns but they have not bothered replying, i hope you may be able to provide some answers Many thanks

Some facial products normal reaction is to appear more pimples. But if you experienced worst problems.. you should stop using the product before it affects the large area of your face.. have you try Mary Kay products? Is the ad on Facebook regarding a face cream the investors were fighting over true?

no, all snake oil, smoke and mirrors. It is often a pay shipping only trial that costs you $114 in 4 weeks time, but it takes 2 weeks to get your goods. Steer well clear. If you want nice skin, clean and then moisturise with Nivea Light.

Stain from sun

if the discoloration is fairly recent, you can usually get rid of it by using exfoliating products, like facial scrubs, etc. try moisturisers that contain lactic or glycolic acid. if you're light-skinned, the facial scrubs will benefit you the most, whereas if you're dark-skinned, it'll probably worsen - thus stick to the moisturisers. Since your skin will be dried out due to exfoliating, please make sure you moisturise! I cannot tell you how important that is. Keep hydrated too.
I looked up some options available to you:
A.M.: Sunscreen
  • A.M./P.M.: Glycolic or lactic acid cleanser and moisturizer
  • Hydroquinone cream, OTC (like Ambi Fade Cream, $6), or prescription, $50, three to 24 weeks
  • Two or three monthly chemical peels, $100 to $150 each
  • For lighter skin: One or two KTP or Q-switched laser treatments, $250 to $500 each, or four to six monthly IPL treatments, $250 to $350 each
  • For darker skin: Four to six monthly fractional nonablative laser treatments, $750 to $1,500 each

Do I need to use an eye cream? Can my facial moisturizer work under and around my eyes just as well?

All Hormeta moisturizers can be used around the eyes. However, the skin around the eye area is a lot different than the rest of the face. There are no oil glands there, so skin tends to get dry and wrinkled. Also, the skin of the eye area is much thinner and can't absorb heavier products. A separate eye cream should be used to solve specific problems around the eye such as fine lines and dark circles.
