Question about HP Printers & Copiers

My printer wont print a document .....I called the 1300 no: and someone told me to uninstall the the printer from my computer and then reinstall it .....thanks i did this and now my computer does not what to reinstall the program from the disc i recieved with the printer( is this someones idea of a joke or is this the normal service and customer support on gets from HP) The problem was simple im sure the printer would print the self diagnostic page perfectly but not any document or pictures from the computer .......A customer service consultant told me what to do and now nothing works it wont read the installation disk ???? Go to HP.com and click on support, you will see downloads, select your printer and download software and drivers, they usually have updated versions and they work better than the disc you recieved with the printer.

Hi,

This is seems to be weird issue you are facing with the printer. I would like to know what is the application you are trying to print from ? Is it Microsoft word etc ? Try to type something in Notepad and print and check if the black is printed.

If you are able to print from Notepad then probably it there are chances the application you are tying to use is corrupted and might need to uninstall and reinstall

Hello,

Your printer is printing "garbage print". To make sure there is nothing wrong with the printer, try printing an internal report. If the report is good then there is a problem with the printer driver, interface cable (USB, parallel, ethernet) or port.

Start by uninstalling the printer driver and then reinstalling it.
If the unit still wont print properly, try using another cable or try installing on another computer.
If the same thing happens on another computer with a new cable then the printer is at fault and needs to be reset. You should be able to find the reset procedure in your user's guide.

When I click print the document goes into queue then when I troubleshoot it says the printer wont print because a document is in queue. When I clear all documents it says "printer ready" but then it says...


Remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and connect the Printer to be detected and installed. Check printer properties to see the ink levels.
Use head cleaning before a test is taken .

Epson 880 printer will print one document, then computer freezes when I try to print another document. Have to reboot, but the problem repeats


what's your operating system? If your using PC, try to restart your print spooler. try to uninstall and reinstall the driver.

Running windows 7 printer wont print anything but installed ok


Is this a brand new computer or did you upgrade to Windows 7? If you did an upgrade, you needed to uninstall the old drivers (with the printer disconnected from the computer). Then you could install Windows 7 and finally install the printer.

You can try unplugging the USB cable, uninstalling the printer and then reinstalling it.

What software are you using to create the file that you want to print? With Microsoft Office, I have seen reports that changing the font on a document can cure a failure to print the document with Word.

First, install the driver on to another computer and try.
Looks at the picture for the computer having problems. If it there listed. Try make the printer properties default or uninstall and reinstall.

Document goes to the print queue, then errors


To start with You check the data cable is properly connected to your printer than you open the printer dialogue box and remove the documents pending in the queue and retstart the computer and before giving the print command select the printer that you are going to use(if more printers are connected to the computer).if all this does not work i suggest you to reinstall the printer after uninstalling it

Uninstalled my hp1300 and when reinstalling I am being told my operating system and admin rights are not valid but I have been using the 1300 for 2 years.


Did u receive the computer from someone two years ago? Are you on the internet when u try to reinstall the drivers? Sometimes windows_verify programs goes for a loop. It thinks that u are not a true owner of the software. Are you trying to get the software drivers from the internet or are using CD to install?
If u have the hp1300 CD install drivers, Disconnect yourself from the internet, install drivers & bootup.Make sure that your printer works, then we'll try to deal with windows
p.s bootup, pressing f4, bypass admin rights, install drivers...reboot
