Click on "start", scroll to "Microsoft Security Essentials" and click on. In you window, click on settings. Two things you want to pay attention to is; is top left there is an option "Run scheduled scan..." with a box next to it. Make sure taht is checked. Second, in the middle you will see three options one of which is "Start scan only when computer is running....". Uncheck that box so it will run regardless. Save your changes. This should work for you. What i have noticed about mine is that mine is running through a receiver and it won't run without my receiver on but, a normal setup should work.

Yahoo mesenger is not sign in and connectiong with net due to virus problem

I would fix the virus problem first before attempting to log into yahoo messenger. If you have a virus you need to quarantine it. If you have a anti-virus make sure it's up to date. Run the a scan on your pc and do a window's update. The anti-virus should be able to quarantine the virus or give you an option to do so.

How can you help me scan my lapfop for virus and scan and restore it to the way it wuz

If you have anti-virus / protection software on your computer, like McAfee, Norton, etc.... you can simply run the (full) scan to find and remove virus, etc. If you don't, you can download the (free) Microsoft Security Essential software from : www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/?mkt=en-us
Read the info (on the webpage), and then download and install the software. Then run the "Scan" to remove the virus, spyware, etc. from your computer.
