My emachines computer is having a moniter problem. when i turn on my computer there is no picture on the moniter but the moniter is turned on. i tried opening the computer to see if any wires were unplugged but i didn't find anything. Please help!

This problem is happen for file missing . You should set up windows xp .

Your new moniter may not be compatible with your computer. I have an Emachines that won't take a flat screen. I have to use a big bulky moniter because it says not connected even thought the hookup fits the back of the tower. That might be your problem. Did your old moniter work correctly?

Its probably the power supply..they tend to go quick on emachines.!Replace the Power supply.

Try your monitor on another machine - if it is working you have operating system/hard drive/motherboard/memory/heating problems. You must work that out if the monitor is good.

I have an Acer AL2017 Moniter. Upon turning on the tower the moniter turns on briefly makes this watery sound shuts down and continues this for sometime eventually until no picture shows at all.If I play...


Had the same problem took it apart and found 5 capacitors on the power/inverter board swelled i replaced those with new ones then it worked perfect.. there were 2 1000uf 25v and 3 330uf 25v swelled.

Moniter is shapeless


If the picture is scrambled or does not look right, use the Recall option in the OSD to
return the monitor to its factory default settings.

System failure?


Look up and locate the jumper for the CMOS reset. I had to do that to my Emachines. It was doing the same thing. My jumper was near the battery, and it said on the motherboard what it was. May or may not work but worth a shot.

Emachine problems


Hi..

Since your computer is working but no display at all. Hope this steps would be helpful in your problem.


1. Turn on your computer, If the problem works again and no display.

2.Turn off your computer by pressing long your power botton until the fan stops properly.

3. Unplug you computer 220volts power chord at the back of your computer.

4. Reconnect again the 220volts power chord after 1 minute.

crazy stuff here.. it might be the display or the harddrive check the pins on the display cable. how old is the PC? and have you added anything to the computer to damage the motherboard? I suggest doing a system recovery it might solve the promblem.

I think that you need to reinstall or find a new driver for it.
