Before replacing the main computer ask the mechanic to do a scan on computer, you need to connect the computer to a code reader, by reading the code you know what is wrong.

Check also if the AC fuse is OK, you never know it is no major fault but just the fuse this time.

Last year I got my ac refilled with r 134 and it all leaked out in a day. My mechanic told me that I needed a new condenser. I changed the condenser and the lines myself. Now I don't know if I should

The system has to be evacuated and recharged you didn't say what type of car but this has to be done on all 134 leaks faster then r 12 as a thinner gas

I have a roof top ac unit Model #7333C886 and someone is telling me that it cannot be recharged. Is this true cause it seems to be working fine other than not getting real cold. It is an older model I know...

It is a closed system, which normally they don't require recharge. It can be done but it is more or equal expense as buying a new unit. A lot of times a real good cleaning by someone who knows how to do it properly is all that is needed in cases such as yours.

How do you put freon in a whirlpool window unit

you will need a AC Tech to first 'repair' the leak and then to 'recharge' the system. Also, the Tech may have to 'weld in' service valves on the unit if it does not have them - which most window units do not have.
Note: unless you've had a 'leak' you'll never need to recharge the system. I would 'be sure' you needed to recharge the unit before having it recharged.
Sounds like you might really need to have a AC Tech look at the unit before you do anything.

We need to know exactly what type of connector is needed to recharge a Coleman 1,500 camper AC.

Usually a recharge connector or "saddle valve" is brazed onto the suction line for recharging the system. The system leak obviously has to be corrected and the system must be pressure tested with nitrogen before vacuming the system and ultimately recharging it.An A/C system operates in a vacum and if there are contaminants or a leak it will not work properly. I'm not being facetious here, I just don't know how much you know about A/C systems.

I have a roof top ac on my rv. its about 5 years will run for a while then I can see ice on it.and the air flow stops..i cut it off and wait for a few hours and then cut it back on and it works...

Any reduced air flow though the coils will cause this as well. check for dirty coils and fins as well as your filter on the inside. Althogh it is not recommended and very rarely that one of these needs a re charge it can be done by a good AC repair person, They would have to open the lines and put in valves to accept a charge but like I said these usually don't leak similar to most window type ac units they are sealed from the factory.

I have an aruf036-00a-1a and have been told the evaporator coil is leaking. The unit is approximately 7 years old. Do I need to buy the whole box with blower and all or can I just purchase the evaporator...

The evaporator coil can be purchased separately and is the most common part to leak on an a/c system. The system must be evacuated of refrigerant and the old coil cut out and the new installed. Leak check performed and vacuum pulled on the system before recharging with refrigerant.

The a/c isn't working in 2005 mitsubishi lancer. When you press the button for a/c only hot air comes out! Any idea what this could be and is it easily fixable?

Sounds as if the AC compressor needs recharging or needs to be replaced. If you can hear the clutch on the AC compressor engage when you turn the dash control knob to AC and the Temp control to the coldest setting, it needs recharging. When your mechanic does this, he will check for leaks in the system, which allowed the refrigerant to escape.

The other thing to check is the AC/Heater? Defroster knob working. Check your Owners Manual to see if this fused and then check to see if the fuse has blown.

I've got a goodman GSC140241AA ac unit (which is

No it should not. If their is a leak and it can be reached the coil should be repairable. Replacing it will require a pro to replace it and recharge system. Not a user friendly item. Also may need a line drier and a vacuum pulled on system. You need a license to handle R22 and this may be an R 410a system which requires special gauges. But I would try to go back to the installer and or Goodman about the leak.
