Before replacing the main computer ask the mechanic to do a scan on computer, you need to connect the computer to a code reader, by reading the code you know what is wrong.

Check also if the AC fuse is OK, you never know it is no major fault but just the fuse this time.

My 99 tahoe a/c is not working and is recharged properly. The clutch does not engage on the compressor and the compressor is new. What can the problem be

if you did the recharge then check the gas pressures as there are two main switches that control the ac operation
one is a high pressure switch which stops operation if there is excessive gas or a blockage and the other is a low pressure switch which stops operation if the gas has leaked out
did you have the ac system checked for leaks before gassing it or replacing the ac compressor
lastly some systems have a relay that controls the ac and that can fail

A/c recharge car

If you need a recharge, you have a leak. You will be losing refrigerant 24 hours a day / 7 days a week and need to recharge when it gets low. Most garages and shops offer recharging A/C units from $99 and up. You might want to get an estimate to have the leak fixed before recharging as that would be a "once & done" arrangement. If the leak is in a location that is hard to access, it may cost over $1000 to fix - in which case recharging once or twice a year may not be quite so bad.. Good luck!

I need some info on how to replace the high pressure a/c hose for my 2002 honda odyssey

You can replace a hose if you know it need to be,
but you can't pull a vacuum & leak test & charge
with refrigerant,so go to a repair shop

My air conditioner it doesn't turn on

The AC compressor will not engage unless the system is charged up with refrigerant, a low state of charge due to a leak will shut the compressor off. Have a set of gauges hooked up to the AC system and have the pressures checked to see if you have a leak. You must repair the leak before the system is recharged.

I have a 2002 honda odyssey that the ac is not working. It blows hot air instead of cold.

Hello,

There are 4 main issues to the AC on a car (not including wiring or more advanced troubleshooting)

1 Recharge (Cheap do it your self Recharge kit from auto shop)

2 The belt that it drives it (Least expensive Replace Belt)

3 The clutch on the compressor (Expensive because you have to puge the system R/R the compressor check the evaporator for damge repressurize system and test.

4 The compressor went bad (Most expensive Usually when a compressor fails it will send metal shavings throughout the system that will cause the system to fail again the soulation is the same as 3 but now you need to replace the evaporator and flush all the AC lines out.

I just recharged my ac and it worked and then

You have a leak check all hoses A / C if you look at that oil is leaking somewhere or reload your system from A / C with freon 134 having UV reveal where the leak is

99 cavalier A/c doesnt work. Tried recharging still doesnt work. took to a mechanic he said maybe a small leak in the a/c hose but shouldnt be a problem... well it is a problem its hot as **** and i have...

check for a leak by installing a ac charge refrigerant with leak detector dye, it is harmless and made for this exact purpose to take all the guess work out, any mechanic that told you a small leak in your AC is okay is an Idiot BOZO, an AC system has to be 100% sealed fro many reasons excluding the har to the atmosphere from the chemical refrigerant. Moisture is an AC systems worst enemy so no leaks can exist, again install leak detector and find and repair leak... be done...please rate my help, thanks...

2006 Honda Odyssey Hot Air on driver side, cool air on pass. side

The only thing I can think of other than the AC control unit being bad is the small tube under the drivers right knee. If you look down at your right knee you will see a small area that is vented. There is a hose hooked to this vent that pulls air from inside the cabin to tell the ac what the temp is. If this hose is off or pinched the ac unit is not getting the information it needs in order to run correctly. Hope this helps.

AC STOPPED BLOWING COLD; ONLY BLOWS ON MAX MANUAL SETTING

Your AC is low on refrigerant; The AC compressor needs a minimum amount of regrigerant to run. If and when it does run (while low on refrigerant) the air coming out of the vents will not be cold. The refrigerant you require is R-134A and is available over the counter but if you are the least bit unsure as to how to add refrigerant, taking it to a garage that does AC recharging would be your best play. If you want to try to add refrigerant on your own you will need the following, 1LB can of R-134A, an AC hose adapter to deliver the refrigerant, and preferably an AC pressure guage to ensure you are not overfilling the AC line which will damage the system.
