One thing that I need to verify. Can you hear when you play songs or ringtones? If so, try pressing up volume key once a call is answered. I would also suggest you to activate the LoudSpeaker. It's also important to try with a headset, if Loudspeaker and Headset work, then the problem must be with the small speaker on the top front part of your phone. If you bought the phone with warranty, you better refund and get another since it's been used for only few days. Even if it has no warranty, you have the right to get it exchanged. You can replace the speaker, but you'll need to visit a Motorola Service Center or a Local Mobile Repair shop, otherwise it's not recommended to do it yourself without experience and tools.
Let me know if you need further help.
Good Luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.

I have a new cellphone, and when I call someone my name doesn't show up. A name of someone else shows up on their caller ID. How can I fix this problem so that my name shows up?

The NAME of the cellphone caller is assigned by the person who receives the call.
If I assign to your number the name "Hugo Chavez" each time you call me, my phone identifies your call as coming form "Hugo Chavez".
If my phone has no name associated to your number, it will show only the number.
So, happens that the person who receives calls from you happens to know the previous owner of your phone , had him registered and has his name showing up.
If this "detail" makes you nervious, tell this person to update the name identifying your calls.

Different phone companies use different towers, you may be standing right beside a tower, but that doesn't mean its the one your cell provider uses. It sounds like you just don't get service coverage in that area, which will make phone calls go straight to voicemail and not show you that they called.

Well I decided to booth the battery and I saw it came on, someone told me it could the flex or motherboard but it came on the only think is that the charging port might be the problem cause I try to charge it and it doesn't show that it's charging. Any solution on that.
