Try putting the card into your computer then go to "Computer" and you should see it. Right click it and then "format"
After this put it back into your camcorder format it again and it should work.

Need help working my camcorder/camera

In order to record, the camera needs to have a memory card installed. This particular camera needs an SD format card. If the camera does not have a card installed, the card is not properly formatted, or the card is full, you will not be able to record. Also, these cards have a write protect lock tab. Make sure that the tab is not in the lock position. The card should be formatted FAT32. If you can read the card on your computer, make sure it is not full and that the card is formatted FAT32. If you have another camcorder or camera that uses SD cards, you might want to try formatting the card, just to be sure.

How do you unlock card on a jazz dv150 camcorder?

Look at the memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

I have a Jazz HDV180 digital camcorder and it takes a 8GB memory card. I put a 8GB HP memory card in and it says no card. I have formatted the memory card.

Try checking your manuel for specifically named memory card, sometimes certain cameras can only take certain memory card formats.
Hope this helps.

Card Protect error recieved when I tried to take a picture with my Jazz JDC64 camera.

Hi there
Take the write protect off by taking the card out of the camera, face the card towards you, look for a small white tab on the left hand side of the card, to unlock it push the tab down, it will be at the side of the card like this 59a6de4.jpg .
Also in the camera's menu you can format the card once the write protect lock is off.

Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa!!

In card position

check the SD card and see if the little tab on the side of it is slid to the position that says "lock" If you cant see the words, try just switching the tab to the other side. Since SD means Secure Digital, these cards wont do anything if the lock tab is not in the right position.
