I have a cub cadet 2140 with a onan 140 series motor. The problem is that I can turn over the key and all I get is a clicking noise. I can do this several times before the mower will start. The battery is brand new. Could it be the starter or what?

A Solenoid is simple to replace! Disconnect the batery find the solenoid disconnect the wires there are usualy 3 two heavy duty wires and a smaller signal wire un bolt remove and replace with the new reconnect the wires and then the battery and start it up. and take the wife or girlfriend out to dinner with all the money you just saved!
