Hi:

Weld pak 100 is a 120 volt unit, you will be ok with a gage 12.
Most 120V commercial extensions out there are 14 gage, if you want to buy one, choose no longer than 25 ft long.
With a 12 gage you can go to 50 ft. with no problems.

If this was useful to you please vote. Thanks.

I have no gasflow it sounds as if the gas is leaking at the feed rolls

there is no seal at the feed rollers around the wire as it requires the correct gauge wire and feed hole to slow down the loss of gas at that point ( easier for the gas to escape up the wire housing and out the welding end )
the gas is allowed to flow when the welding trigger is operated as that opens a gas solenoid that allows gas to the welding wire tube to exit past the shroud around the welding point

read you user manual well to be acquainted with the machines operation, and if there is a persisting problem talk with your supplier and consider a warranty service check

Lincoln weld pak 100, no heat penatration on the D setting

I believe your voltage control rheostat (potentiometer) must be worn out. Check your owner's manual for the part number and request it, it's not expensive and it is an easy part to replace. If you are doing that would be a good idea to do the same for your speed control rheostat.
Or clean them if you can, take off all the carbon particles that it build up with the time.

Weld-pak 100 Hd Problem

There is a reset button located in the wire feed spool compartment,
check to see it stays in when pushed. It is a safety when the machine
overheats, it normally resets when machine cools off. If it is working properly I suggest contacting Lincoln Electric Dealer for service.

I have a Lincoln Weld Pak 100 that was working fine. I shut down the machine though and when I came back to it about 5 hours later the wire feed motor wouldn't turn anymore. Has anybody else had the same...

Check the voltage at the wire feed motor when the trigger is pulled.

I had a Weld Pak 100 that with 0 volts at the wire feed motor, and the problem wound up being that 2 of the big power (stud) diodes were shorted.

Lincoln Weld Pak 100 arc welder troubleshooting

There can be a switch that makes the wire electrically "dead" so it can be fed through the liner. Also suitcase style welders have a sensor wire with a clamp that must be connected for the arc to be able to be struck.

My lincoln welder lost its heat penetration

It only produces 100amps. You can only weld thinner metal 3/16" comfortably. Any thicker will resuld in less/no penetration.
