SOURCE: Won't run - normal light flashes
You may try removing power to D/W for a minute and reconecting. likely cause though is keypad (console). If a light above a pad stays on the pad is likely closed all the time. Normal is probably cycle most often used. you can test the keypad by removing power to D/W and accessing the control panel. remove conncter P-1 and using an ohmeter test resistance between 13 and 4 on the connecter coming from keypad. yes without very small clips or 4 steady hands it is a little tricky. in the field we use a breakout board. if you get any reading when not pushed pad is bad. you may find a manual inside the kickplate which explains the keypad sequence. it may be control but more likely keypad, even if test is inconclusive.

The control board has failed.

Open the door & remove the 8 or so allen screws. The board is simply plug and play.
Bad design - the vent is right by the board - so its subjected to moisture.

Have you tried turning off the power for a few minutes before then trying to unlock the dishwasher?
Remove power by turning off the circuit breaker, for a few minutes and then turn the breaker back on....let the dishwasher start up and then try to press the heated dry for 4 seconds...it should unlock.
If that don't work then try the 4 hr delay button for 4 seconds if your dishwasher has one...
Seems like you scrambled the brain a bit... recycling the power should help straighten things out...

have you tried powering it down, shutting off power to the unit for 15 minutes, sometimes the electronics will glitch as a computer does,if this is to no avail, then try removing all connections from the interface(control panel) to the main control panel and clean each cable and re-plug in,then see if this solves your problem, otherwise it may be time to replace either the interface or main control board
