SOURCE: problem with numark axis 9!!

Hi, I’m from Yucatan, Mexico. I’ve always used Numark cd players, I have two Axis8 and two Axis9, and one day I had the same problem with an Axis9. I know a little bit about electronic so I opened the machine and began check it, I took the decision to change and electronic part, I took it from the another Axis9 which was working perfectly, this part is the memory, buffer, effects and it controls all the front panel, jog, play, pitch, etc. I discovered the problem, this electronic circuit part was wrong, I thought that it was impossible to repair so I began to investigate. I visited Numark web site, they sell any electronic part you need, I bought a new one from Numark Company for 200 dollars, and this is the most expensive. They sell parts for Dual Players, Axis, CDX, Mixers, etc. If I not wrong you need this part, now it costs 174 dollars: TWPC01C04603 PCB, Effects/Buffer - Axis 9 (Red) | I got it and my Axis9 works like new again!!! Good luck with yours!

SOURCE: I have a 'Numark Axis 9' DJ standard CD player.

You will most likely need to replace the CD drive. I believe the OEM part is CM-H90. Only 8 screws to complete this task.

Numark Axis 9's. . Problematic. Ahhhh!!!

Sorry, this isn't a solution but I just wanted to mention that I just got an Axis 9 and it is not playing burned CDs either. And I see another problem reported on this site specifically called "my axis 9 wont play burnt cds". What in the heck, Numark? Are all the Axis 9's this way?

My axis 9 wont play burnt cds

I'm having the same problem with the Axis 9 I just purchased on eBay. And so is the person who posted "Numark Axis 9's. . Problematic. Ahhhh!!!" Seems ridiculous that this would be so common. I definitely don't want to re-burn 100's of CDs just to use this CD player.

Numark Axis-9s and problems playing burned discs (summary of all problems / any solutions?) These Numark Axis-9s were quirky straight out of the box, but anyone that owned these cd turntables grew fond of them. A lot of people that use the Numark Axis-9s have problems that occur when using burned discs. Problems such as: Pops and noise in the track Skips in the track A sudden looping of the track (usually 1 to 3 seconds) Inability to read the disc, the buttons would lock Many problems with the scratching features Many advanced feature problems, etc Here's what we know: 1) Although this puts a huge negative on the Numark Axis-9s, the players DO read burned discs perfectly. 2) The problem is either the computer burning the discs, the program burning the discs, the settings of the burn, or the actual discs. Sidenote: Has the quality of blank discs changed over the past 5`-10 years? Perhaps not a "poorer" quality, but have discs become "more digital" making the Axis9s unable to read newer blanks? I have used 6 different Axis-9s over the course of about 6-7 years. Here's what I know: My old-old computer (2 computers ago, 6 years ago) used to burn discs and the players would play without a problem. My old computer caused burned discs to have various problems in the players. Not many though, not as many as now. Then, I used iTunes to burn, and burned at the slowest speed, and usually got a good disc burn. My current computer, every burned disc does not work. I have tried various burning speeds and have found that 8x is currently the best, although I still cannot get a solid quality burned disc. Some tracks work. Most don't. Sidenote: If the BPM shows up on a track, it will play properly. If there's any delays in the displays showing up, such as the timelength of the track, the track won't play properly. Is anyone currently burning discs that the Numark Axis-9 players are playing? If so, what is your method? Are there any other Axis-9 users that have tips burning a disc that plays correctly?
