Question about Samsung DMR78AHS Builtin Dishwasher

Open Question

How do you get the O-ring gaskets back in the top pump housing below the bottom rotating spray bar? Is there a secret or do I need new O-rings? I removed both pump housings which both have O-rings sealing them. Dishwasher is a Samsung DMR78 series!

SOURCE: Samsung DMR78 dishwasher makes a grinding noise at

Check the brackets that hold the top rack for any broken plastic brackets. My dishwasher was making the same noise and after noticing the broken plastic pieces I pulled out the dishwasher put it on its side removed a white panel on the bottom that is attached with two screws, removed the drain line and inside there were two plastic tabs from the broken bracket. Once those were removed the grinding noise stopped. The bracket holding the drain hose can be removed with a pair of pliers.

2 remove the remaining bolts securing the engine front cover and remove cover and gasket(8 bolts) watch out for the dowel pins and the o-ring seals around the openings
3 remove the bolts securing the water pump and remove water pump.watch out for o rings
4 rotate the oil pump shaft so the tab on the end of the shaft is vertical
5.oil the new o rings on the housing
6 install new water pump and tighten up
7 position the groove on the water pump shaft vertically so it will align with the tab on the oil pump shaft
8 install the front cover (new gaskets and o rings)
The above came out of my manual. It looks fairly straight forward but watch out for the little o rings they can be a pain. good luck

TS 420, New carb, hot spark , good compression 85lbs, primer bulb pumps up , runs on sprayed gas in carb, wont get gas on its own ???????, what else to check, can pick up in tank be bad but stil

i have to say 85lbs is not very high, badly leaking seals, or leaking cylinder base gasket will stop the fuel being pulled in, badly fitting impulse hose will also stop the fuel pumping.

I have a gilmour xp30. The pump assembly will not pressurize/blow air out the exhaust port. (There seems to be a part rattling inside the cylinder). Can it be fixed?

there is an O-ring in the plunger tube that can slip of its channel seating if it becomes dried out. To put it back you need to disassemble the handle from unit. At base of handle is a lock that looks like a cross. It is difficult to turn because it has small protrusions at the ends that snap into holes in the collar. Once you turn them and the pop out the handle can be removed exposing the pump shaft. The O-ring is probably what you hear rattling and will be loose in bottom of tube. Just put it back into its grooved seat, slide plunger back into unit, rotate the x-lock till it snaps back into place and unit should work again. I have oiled o-ring but that did not last long and might get oil on plants. I now just spray some water down the top to lubricate the O-ring when it seems dry.

How to change a fuel pump for the gas

  • Position your vehicle over a hoist or rasie it up with a floor jack and support it with jack stands and relieve the fuel system pressure. Drain the tank by loosening the clamp and removing the fill hose. Unplug the fuel pump's electrical connection and disconnect the evaporative emissions lines and the fuel lines. Support the fuel tank with a hydraulic jack and remove the bolts on the fuel tank so you can lower the fuel tank. Remove the lock ring on the fuel pump using tool 9340 with a ½ inch drive breaker bar to rotate the lock ring counter-clockwise. The fuel pump should rise up slightly when you remove the lock ring. Remove the fuel pump using care not to bend the float arm. Install the new fuel pump using the items included in the kit, especially the rubber gasket for the fuel tank. Rotate the fuel pump until the alignment arrow points toward the alignment mark. Be sure the fitting on top of the fuel pump faces towards the driver's side. Tighten the lock ring with tool 9340 until all seven notches engage. Complete the installation by reversing the removal procedure

My son replaced the thermostat and thermostat housing on his 2002 ford taurus. It is leaking from the bottom of the housing. What would cause this?

COULD HAVE DAMAGED RUBBER O RING TIGHTEN TOO TIGHT OR REUSED THE OLD ORING WILL CAUSE LEAKING.IF YOUR THERMOSTAT HAS PAPER GASKET INSTEAD O RING. YOU NEED TO PUT SEALANT ON BOTH SIDES OF THE GASKET.THAT WILL KEEP IT FROM LEAKING.IF YOUR VECHICLE HAD A RUBBER O RING AROUND THERMOSTAT REPLACE WITH NEW O RING DONT PUT PAPER GASKET IF YOU HAVE THE O RING SEAL.THE O RING DOES THE SEALING NO NEED PAPER GASKET.

    Where is my fuel pump?

The fuel pump is located in the gas tank. These are a bit of a pain. If you are planning on changing it yourself here are the steps you should take:

  • Determine which fuel pump your Dodge Durango will need. This depends not only on the make and model, but also the engine size and type. Models made from 1998 to 2003 have a 4.7 L PowerTech, 5.2 L Magnum, or 5.9 L Magnum. Models manufactured after 2004 will have a 3.7 L Power Tech, 4.7 L Power Tech or 5.7 L Hemi.
  • Step 2 Prepare your vehicle for fuel pump servicing. Drain and remove the fuel tank. Note the position of the indexing arrow on top of the fuel pump before removing it.
  • Step 3 Remove the lock ring on the fuel pump using tool 9340 with a ½-inch drive breaker bar to rotate the lock ring counter-clockwise. The fuel pump should rise up slightly when you remove the lock ring. Remove the fuel pump using care not to bend the float arm.
  • Step 4 Install the new fuel pump using the items included in the kit, especially the rubber gasket for the fuel tank. Rotate the fuel pump until the alignment arrow points toward the alignment mark. Be sure the fitting on top of the fuel pump faces towards the driver's side.
  • Step 5 Tighten the lock ring with tool 9340 until all seven notches engage. Complete the installation by reversing Steps 2 and 3

Small plastic top and mid spray arm do not turn, bottom does

decrete, you want to get down to the chopper and screen. If the screen is plugged up with gunk there won't be enough pressure to reach the top spray arms. Check out the posted pics. Remove the lower spray arm. Rotate the rear feed arm to the right until it unsnaps from the tube going up the back. See the 4 torq screws holding the filter on. Remove them. Lift the filter up. Now you will see the chopper inlet cover. 1 torq screw holding it in. Lift it up and there's the chopper and screen. Catriver..post back

    Leak off pump housing

Sidewinder, sounds like it's leaking from the pump gasket or the water seal assy on the impeller. Check the locking ring to the pump housing and see if you can increse the pressure to the tub. Also check the tightness of the motor fan assy. to the impeller assy. tighten if necessary. Pump gasket part number is 912529. Impeller seal part number is 903494. Catriver..post back.
