Question about Computers & Internet
If you're not interested in buying an operating system your only solution is to install any flavor of Linux instead. I suggest Ubuntu, very easy to install and straight forward to use. Chances are, all of your hardware will be recognized upon installation of the OS making it so you don't have to screw around with installing drivers for your hardware.
If you did however happen to buy it, and you lose the key, and cannot recover it from MS, then try astalavista.com, who offer solutions to those who have legitimately bought software and no longer have a key. Better have a beefy AV and firewall though, use at your own risk. You have been warned!!!
