I have an aqualink RS4 -- it has been working great -- however it now has developed a problem -- the pump won't shut off per the timed schedule I put in. It will shut off manually. Any suggestions ???

Hello!

Try these:

1. Could be microprocessor lockup - try turning off the power to the system (breaker) disconnect the battery, turn power back on then reconnect the battery. Next reset time and date, and functions.

2. If the first steps did not help, then try testing the filter pump relay. Remove the cover plate off the outdoor panel, Tap the relay that is in the upper most left corner with the but of a screwdriver. If after tapping it goes off, then its the filter pump relay that will needs replacement.

let me know how it goes..

My pool pump will not turn off automatically I have turn shut it down manually

Sometimes if two time setting overlap the RS will do what they call "ghosting" and any manner of odd thing may happen. Reset the timing for the main pump after clearing out all the other time programs. See if that works.

Pool filter pump won't shut off.

I'm assuming it continues to run when you switch the system to "service" mode. You probably have a relay stuck shut. Unless you are very comfortable with working with high voltage it's best to get a tech out to verify the problem and switch out the relay. If you are okay with it the replacement isn't very difficult. You'll have 4 or 6 wires to move from the old relay to the new one, and switch out the small black and red paired wires that go from the relay to the control board. Make certain that your breaker is off while changing it out.

I have an Aqualink RS4. I want to delete the 3 programs scheduled under filter pump. How do I do that?  Thanks

The best thing to do is to clear the system memory. Aqualink can have a problem with "ghosting" Things just go on by themself when not programed to. A bad spa side remote can do that to but that is another problem.
To clear the memory
Push the menu button once
Push the back arrow to "System setup"
Push star * or enter button
Push back arrow till diplay says " clear memory "
Push star or enter
Push star or enter again to comfrim.
You will get a message "earsing memeory"
Now you can reprogram system
If you want differant run times like a summer and winter timing you can do that with the program groups

Hope this helped
