I had the same problem I own a Kenmore Elite dishwasher. Diverter motor needs to be replaced. The diverter motor is connected to a plate that controls the flow of water to each washer arm. When the plate moves it has holes that align to the proper tube that supplies water to a washer arm. When the diverter motor is broken it is unable to rotate and cannot direct flow of water. When this happens water will only be able to come out of one spray arm in my case the back sprayer or turbo wash. The diverter motor is located under the dish washer and the diverter plate is located under the bottom sprayer arm.

My Kodak Carousel 650H has a stuck slide and the tray won't move. The stuck slide is lined up with the "gate index." I tried releasing the tray but only one side of the tray releases. The...

Two steps.
1) Look down into the center of the carousel. There should be a round, flat silver knob with an elongated notch in it. Take a coin (US 5-cent piece or similar) and use it to turn the knob. This releases the catch on the metal plate under the projector. You should then be able to lift the carousel off. Be careful: some slides will fall out as the slot is not aligned with the carousel body properly once you do this.
2) Make sure the locking ring on top of the carousel is in place (or else take out all your slides. Turn the carousel over and gently rotate the metal plate covering the bottom of the carousel into position. You will hear/feel a "click" when it's in place.

The projector may have jammed because there are two slides stuck in the viewing slot--check for this before you put the carousel back on the projector. If it jams a lot the metal plate under the carousel may be bent.

I have a ge quietpower 3 dishwasher. Lately it has stopped cleaning the dishes. Sometimes the dispenser tray doesn't open. Sometimes it does open and the soap pac hasn't disolved.

Make sure your water temperature is hot enough to dissolve the soap. Generally, the water temp. should be 140 degrees. Run some hot water at the tap before you turn on the dishwasher. This will assure that hot water is in the dishwasher as soon as you start it. Be certain that there aren't any large pieces in front of the dispenser tray. Sometimes casserole dishes, frying pans or baking pans can block the door and prevent it from opening.
Also, the sprayer arms might be clogged with bone fragments, peelings, bits of paper, etc. If this is the case, you'll need to remove the sprayer arm, flush and then check the jets. If you see "stuff" in the jets, they can be remove with tweezers.
Finally, make sure the upper sprayer arm hose is securely seated with the tube in the back of the dishwasher that carries the water up to the sprayer arm hose. If these two are not seated correctly, the water will not travel into the sprayer arm hose, the sprayer arm will not turn and your dishes will not get clean! I hope this helps. If it does, please come back to Fixya and rate my advice.

Top sprayer is not cleaning dishes. No water is coming out on the dishes.

There may be one of two problems here and you're going to have to stick your head inside the dishwasher to solve either of them by yourself. First, in the back of the washer is a tube that goes up to the top shelf. The sprayer tube fits OVER the mouth of the other tube and then carries the water to the arm. Sometimes the support brackets for this tube become dislodged and the sprayer tube just droops but doesn't connect with the water tube. Check this first and reattach the brackets.
If this is not the problem, you might have to remove the sprayer arm (should be a screw or bolt under the arm) and flush it at the sink. There may also be pieces of paper or fragments of bone or fruit and vegetable peels stuck in the spray openings. If these won't slush out, you'll need to remove them with tweezers.
I hope this helps. It always works for me. If I have helpee, please come back and rate my suggestion!

Dishwasher won,t clean dishes ontop rack

Make sure the top rack is pushed back all the way to connect with upper sprayer arm water port. Also make sure nothing is preventing either sprayer arm from rotating and there is nothing blocking the sprayer arm holes, like seeds or pieces of plastic debris. Also make sure your water heater temp is hot enough.

Hello Deepak,

You can definitely fix this yourself, but I'm not entirely sure from your description which part is "dropping off". It may be a simple fix where something needs to be clipped back into place or you may need to replace something. Please can you take a look at the images below and identify which part you are having trouble with.

Below is the back of the upper spray arm which clips on to the upper rack. It has a grey plastic cover behind which is a large white plastic washer / gasket. The washer simply slots in to the back of the spray arm and the grey cover clips in over the top.

Your description suggests the grey plastic cover and/or the white washer are dropping off. If the grey plastic cover is missing, it may have fallen into the bottom of the washer under the lower rack, in which case you should be able to find it and clip it back on. If it's missing or wont clip back on, you will need to replace the upper spray arm as the cover and washer are not available separately.

This is the water delivery tube which clips to the back wall of the washing compartment. There is a metal clip which secures the tube to the wall. The open hole and one of the spigots slot in to the two holes in the back of the upper spray arm above. The spigot used depends on which height setting the upper rack is on.

Basically, everything simply clips together. If nothing is broken, you should be able to fix this at no cost by simply clipping the offending part back into place.

Hope this helps. If you need further assistance or help locating replacement parts, please let me know what needs to be replaced. Nearly all Bosch parts are available and in stock direct from Bosch.

Regards,
BElectric

Water will not spin out but you can the moter running

  1. Unplug the Kenmore washer power cord from the wall outlet. Pull the washer 2 feet away from the rear wall. Locate the screws that fasten the control console to the top of the washer. Remove the screws with a Phillips-head screwdriver and raise the control console to the rear of the washer. The console has two hinges on the back that it will rest on while in this position.

  2. Locate the wiring harness connector that connects to the door switch plug. The connector is white, and is toward the top rear of the washer. Grab the sides of the connector with your fingers and pull it away from the door switch plug.

  3. Unhook the washer cabinet from the rear panel. There are two clips on the top of the washer that secure the cabinet to the rear panel. Place a flathead screwdriver into each clip, and pry the clip off the washer cabinet. Grab the sides of the washer cabinet and pull the cabinet away from the washer.

  4. Find the water pump below the washer tub. The pump attaches to the top of the motor and has two hoses attached to it as well. Place a small container under the hose connections to the water pump. Grab the ears on the compression clamp securing the upper hose to the pump with a pair of Channellock pliers. Squeeze the ears together with the pliers and slide the clamp down the hose. Pull the hose off the pump and set the end in the container.

  5. Grab the ears on the compression clamp holding the lower hose to the water pump with the Channellock pliers. Squeeze the ears together and slide the clamp down the hose. Pull the hose away from the water pump. Locate the two large black clips that secure the pump to the motor. Pry the clips off with a flathead screwdriver. Pull the pump away from the motor.

  6. Position the new pump over the motor and secure the pump with the two retaining clips. Connect the upper hose to the upper port on the water pump. This is the hose that connects to the tub. Use the Channellock pliers to compress the ears on the clamp and slide the clamp over the end of the hose and port on the pump.

  7. Slide the lower hose over the lower port on the water pump. Slide the compression clamp over the end of the hose and water pump port to secure the hose. Grab the sides of the washer cabinet and position the cabinet over the washer base. Secure the cabinet to the rear panel with the retaining clips. The clips will snap back into their respective holes in the top of the washer cabinet.

  8. Reconnect the wiring harness to the door switch plug. Slide the harness over the plug until it snaps into position. Lower the control console back over the washer top and secure with the retaining screws. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet and push the washer back to its working position.

Water disperser in top of unit popped off. Found the disperser and a washer, but not the c-ring or o-ring that held them in place. How did it attach? Will I have a problem if the real attachment part is...

When I used a mirror and light to discover that there was no c-ring or o-ring in the bottom groves of the disherwasher, I tried to fit the washer on the shaft to determine what size I should buy. The fit was too tight to be a washer. I discovered that what I thought was a washer was really some kind of compression "washer" which acted like a c-ring or o-ring that would hold the sprayer back in place. The "washer" had one side worn and one side with a slight grove. I removed the top sprayer assembly from the upper cabinet which was attached with two screws. I put the worn side against the sprayer. I then put the washer in place and used a nut driver (to protect the center shaft and allow me to still put pressure on the washer) and a hammer to safely hammer on the nut driver to put the washer back into place. Held fine though my load last night so it should stay.

Upper rack sprayers not working on LG ldf7811 dish washer

Check the pump out. Even though the Hose is and tubes are clear it does not necessarily mean that the pump is not pumping water to the top sprayer. One way you can do this is take off the upper spray tube and lay it in a glass or bowl and turn on your machine for a minute or so to get the water flowing if it flows then I would take off the spray assembly itself and make sure that there is no blockage on the bearing race
