Lincoln sa200

For the SA200 you need a mechanic. We can't diagnose engines remotely.

Hi:

The problem must be the fuses, these ones can be damaged due to an over voltage or over heating. Check your owners manual for the fuse location.

I have a sa200-f163 lincoln Problem with the Web Site I have a sa200-f163 lincoln welder that only sparks faintly when trying to weld. I have attempted flashing the exicter with no results. How does one...

You can expect to see readings near zero ohms. The windings in a SA200 are pretty darn heavy, to the point that all you can expect to see from an ordinary VOM is either continuity or short circuit.

Is it kicking up from idle when you try to establish an arc? That's the biggest problem with this machine, the darn idle mechanism fails and it's about impossible to find parts.

If it's kicking up like it should then clipping the ground to the Neg post on a 12v battery and tapping the end of your rod (that's inserted in the holder) on the other post should polarize the generator. Hooking it to another welder for a few seconds should do it too.

Have you serviced the brushes? If not, let me know through the 'comment' button and we'll service them.
