The reason I had asked if you had tried a different monitor was to determine if it was the monitor or the computer that actually had the problem. That wasn't clear in the first question.
A computer that is having issues will cause the same symptoms you described.
Repairing CRT's is beyond my level of expertise. When I get into a situation like this, I would just replace the monitor. Sorry I couldn't have been more help.
I stopped using CRT's when the price of LCD's dropped.

Model M17ANA shuts off intermediatly Turns on ok but after a few seconds shuts off then back on again.

The issue you describe is a power supply gone bad. Actually it is a capacitor inside the PS that is now defective (it may be more than one). This seems to be a frequent problem with this particular monitor as I have personally had the same issue with one a owned.

Unfortunatly there is no good solution as there are basically only two options available to you.

1. Find an 'electronics /computer shop' that will remove the PS and repair it.
2. send the monitor to Star-Logic for repair.

The basic issue with either scenario is that the cost to repair may be more than the unit is actually worth. For instanse, you can purchase a new 20" LCD monitor for less than $90 form places like

I hope this helps you in some way.

Good Luck!

When the bad caps (not completely gone but have high ESR) will start working when heated up, the ESR goes down, that is one of the trick I have been using for 30 years to locate bad caps by heting them with hair dryer.
I am surprised that 3 shops cannot find and fix the problem.
As you can see in my albums, most failure are due to bad caps. Can you poat the pictures of the board?

I dropped my phone yesterday and its screen is creacked and the actual lcd screen is also broken (i blieve) how much will it cost to replace on a Samsung mobile SGH-D520 model?

It will depend on where you are going to purchase your phone, if you'll purchase it in a store near you, it could be less higher than purchasing it online/in the internet. I t may also depend on your location.

It costs $99.95 dollars today in this sites:

Monitor problem

To do an internal repair on a CRT is beyond my level of expertise.
I would leave repairs like that to those that do know. I've heard too many horror stories about what can happen if you don't know your way around the inside of a CRT.
