I would suggest a wiggle test ,slide the range out and wiggle the wires that go to the display to see if they come on or not . Here is what I think might have happened ; the range wiring got hot and melted the insulation on the wiring thus grounding out the power to the display. Visually inspect with oven unplugged first to see if heat or mice got to the wiring and if so is it have bare wiring showing through that could be laying on or hitting the metal parts of the stove? While unplugged you might want to do a sniff test to see if you smell a burnt smell (electric burnt smell). The wiring going to the display is low voltage but not sure where it changes on this model (usually a transformer with a bridge rectifier-inside a box) that splits off the main power source. If you do wiggle test be careful to watch for arcing ,do it with approved insulated pliers if unsure. You can also check the voltage going to the display ,the wires for the hot are red yellow with the ground being black or green.. If display did ground out and took out the transistors or blew a fuse on the board(circuit board)check . you can get another board or order it from an appliance store or from sears appliance parts set up somewhere close check online for nearest parts dealer. At times you cn call the dealer and tell them the symptoms an they can tell you whats wrong with it especially if it is a common problem with that model

F2-EO indicatwes a shorted key pad. Electronic parts on ranges sometimes have warranty for five years (may only cover parts) so check your owners manual to see what your warranty is then call for service. It is a good idea to save reciepts of repair for future reference if neccessary.

SOURCE: Hi I have a Kitchenaid

Hello there:
It won't bake but it will broil please read the entire solution

Usually, when an oven won't bake, it's because the bake element is burned out. The bake element is the black, pencil- thick tube at the bottom of the oven. When the oven heats, the element glows red. This element has an expected life-span of several years. It may last for only one; it may last for many more. When the element burns out, you need to replace it.

works only intermittently, it's probably because of worn or bad contacts in the receptacle that the element plugs into. On most electric ranges, you can remove the element by lifting it up several inches and firmly pulling it away from its attachment (receptacle). Read your owner's manual to learn the correct technique for your range.
If it still does not operate properly, you probably have a defect in the thermostat, selector switch, or common wiring. If the oven does not have a separate bake/broil/etc. selector switch, the problem may be with the thermostat. But it's not easy to check the selector switch or thermostat for proper operation. If you suspect a problem in this area, call a qualified appliance repair technician.

Look closely at the bake element to see if you see any cracks in it. Does the broiler work? Post back your results.

KitchenAid Range KESC307HBT8 display has gone blank. I could thump it with my fist, not hard, just a light thump, and it would come back on, for less than a minute, then go to dim, and then completely...

Sep 23, 2009- I think these use the same controller board as the Jenn-air units, they have a weak capacitor (C3) on the control board (Timer/control Display). Remove the top panel and look for a discolored or leaking capacitor (usually black about 1/2" high 3/8" in accross). Replace the capacitor and the problem goes away, until next time you use the self clean cycle which seems to overheat the control board and ruin the capacitor.

KitchenAid Range KESC307HBT8 has Blank Display

Maybe. I have the same problem with an architect series. I have narrowed it down to a 13-wire Molex connector that may have some broken conductors as I can cause the dim/dark/bright condition by moving the wires...it's too late to get any parts to go further tonight. I think I'll start with a new connector and shorten the cable a bit, maybe there's a broken conductor that I can get lucky and bypass. Don't want to think about removal of the glass cooktop to pull the entire wire harness.
