First thing you must do is to get rid of the ice then if you look way back in the bottom of freezer you will see a drain trough and in the middle of it is a small drain hole. That drain hole is attached to a hose that normally takes the defrost water out and to the drain pan under the refrigerator. You have to clean out that drain hose.

GE side by side Model # TFX25PPBAWW Serial # GT257367 Water leaking out the front freezer side. Ice is accumulating at the bottom where water is poolling. I have removed the Ice maker from the freezer...

You have two things causing this
1) the water valve for the i/m is seeping and not fully closing, with the i/m removed no water should come from the tube and the valve should be replaced(alos it were the from the im their would be ice build up from that tube all the way down to the very bottom)
2) this is the most prabable cause with the abense of ice build except at the bottom around the lowest drawer and that is the defrost drain is blocked, the drain can be found at the very bottom of the rear panel of the freezer and is blocked so instead of the defrost water draining it is pooling at the bottom then running out all over the floor
to clear the drain push a wire hanger through the tube till a small hole opens then flush it with hot water

I( find a puddle of water on floor at front left hand corner on freezer side..I took the freezer drawer out and found ice build up under it ,could this cause my problem.. this happened about every 24 hours...

The problem with your refrigertor is that the defrost drain is plugged up. After you get the ice buildup out of the freezer section you will have to locate the drain system. It is in the back of the freezer at the very bottom. It needs to be cleaned out. Hope this at least leads you in the right direction.

I have a Maytag side by side and water is leaking on the floor and I have a big build of ice on the bottom of the freezer. Can you tell me how to fix it?

Unplug the refrigerator.
Remove the food and shelves from the freezer side.
Carefully break up and dispose of the visible ice. There is a drain pan on the lower rear of the freezer. Defrost the ice in this pan with a hair dryer.
Once the ice is out of the pan the drain hole that goes through the bottom of the pan must also be defrosted.
After the drain hole is defrosted pour a mixture of 1/4 cup bleach and 1 and 3/4 cups hot water through the drain hole.

Leaking water and ice build-up in freezer

There's a drain hole in the freezer side behind the bottom drawer in the back wall that must be clogh ; put hot water into it untill melted the ice and keep pouring water to clean the drain (don't worry , the water goes to an evaporative tray) .Keep the drain clean by putting every 3/4 months half a cup of clorox or bleach.

Ice building up in bottom of freezer of side by side MSD27 Maytag

Your defrost drain tube is clogged up. Remove the ice and look for the top of a drain tube about 3/8-1/2" in diameter. Once the ice is gone, use a meat baster (turkey baster) full off hot water stuck in the top of the drain tube and blast hot water through to clean it out. Do this several times with about 4 cups of hot water so you don't over flow the drain pan and flood the floor

Excessive Frost and Ice Build up in Freezer

sounds like you have a clogged defrost drain tube. removing back panel of freezer will give you acess to drain trough, melt away the ice with a hair dryer, youll find a drain hole under there somwhere, pouring boiling water down the drain will clear it pretty quickly( i use a steam machine purchased from the infomercials works awesome, after you clear it and all water drain down tube wrap a piece of solid copper wirearound the heater( black calrod heater right above the drain trough) and stick it in the whole maybe an inch or so. now everythime the heater comes on to defrost it will prevent the hole from freezing over
