Unplug the unit for 1 minute, replug and try again. If it doesn't work the power supply is faulted and it needs professional service.

SOURCE: Turns itself off
My sharp LC-AV134U Had the turn itself off symptom. I tried freezing and heating the board but I could not pin point the bad component. After a few cycles I could no longer replicate the problem and the set was working. This lasted about 2 weeks at that point suddenly the set was dead with a slight ticking sound. I found D631 was shorted I replaced it with an NTE 506. It has been running for 3 weeks now no problems. I suggest that everyone try a new D631.

Aquos has the same problem. I'm not sure how I discovered this, but
when I lean the TV forward and hit the power button it will turn on
every time. If the screen blacks out and I don't lean it forward when I
hit the power button, the screen will just remain blank. It is very
weird, but at least repeatable.
- Thank you, Guest. That did it. It definitely seems to be a problem with the TV. Tilting it and hitting the power button helped me get the video back.
