It sounds like a cracked speaker or no good anymore. You can buy a new set of speakers for it not that hard to change out. Also check the volume level and see if still does the carckling noise when turned down. Thanks for using FixYa! Here is a video on how to do this if this one is not a good one there are many of them at this site Click Here.

Alot of static or interference through speakers

Check all leads are plugged in the right spots and are in good condition. Sometimes "static" is caused by plugs not connecting properly.

Bose Companion 3 Speakers make a popping noise.

No solution i'm afraid. But i have the exact same problem. Terrible cracking interference. Unplug everything else in the house and they still crackle. Very annoying. Decided to buy a new woofer on ebay as that seemed to be the problem with possible faulty switch, but the new woofer has a different connection for the volume control. Incredibly frustrating. If you have any luck let me know. Bose want eighty quid to repair...

REAR SPEAKER JACK AND SPEAKERS CRACKLING SOUND

First of all test your speakers with another source such as a portable CD player if the sound comes then there is a problem with speakers

Then check the connectors of the speakers and after checking the connectors try changing the cables of the speakers.

After checking the connectors and cables now re-seat your sound card and move it to a different pci slot

Farthest away from PSU It might be possible that once the load on the PSU gets
higher its interference field gets larger!

Also note that if there is a cell phone near your speakers or the sound card? Any device
that reaches a certain frequency will cause a constant clicking noise.

Hope the above information helps you.
Thanks.

Static noise coming out of speakers

What sort of computer do you have? Is it a laptop or desktop? Many laptops have this problem and it is quite widespread in laptops. The crackling or humming noise could be a result of interference from the mains power signal.

If it's a laptop, try running it on battery alone (take out the mains power cord). My laptop has this kind of noise in speakers when running on mains electrical supply, but it goes away like magic when I run it on battery.

A more long-term solution is to buy a 'Ground Loop Isolator' and insert it between your computer and the speakers/earphones. They are quite cheap and you could get it for under £10. It removes all static noise and you'll hear crystal clear sound.

5 computer speakers w/ subwoofer

1) Check the connections of your speaker wire at both the speaker and the PC. It's possible something might have come loose or is starting to become worn.

2) Try moving the speaker or your tower/cpu to another location, or if not, move any new accessories away from the speakers and wires. It is possible that you are getting interference from a new accessory or appliance (like printers or other electromagnetic devices).

3) Let me (us) know what the brand and model of speaker it is. Maybe there's more specific info we can provide.
