I wash it in hot water and let the disposal catch the dirt. The eureka can be a pain in the *** because the filter is pleated, a tooth pick helps with that. You have to let it dry completely after that, and the vac works like new

Hello! Please follow the instructions below to clean the lifetime Hepa filter on your Elite Rewind.
Press on the tab located on the side of the filter cover to remove.
Remove the HEPA filter and brush with the combination tool to clean or tap side of filter against a trash receptacle. Return the HEPA filter into the filter cavity.
3. Align tab on filter cover with slot. Press cover closed until you hear a snap.
