Keeps saying F1 when trying to start - Whirlpool Washing Machines

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(I have posted this as clarification rather that solution in case it isn't- you posting will remain 'live'!)
Sorry, I do not have the decode for Whirlpool 'F1' BUT I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. It's worth a try!
So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)

If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play!
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!
Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!
    John C

If the control has turned the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow meter has detected water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash.
Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. If there is no water in the unit: Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way. Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves Check inlet valve operation If there is water in the unit: Check Drain pump operation Pressure Switch Hose is in good condition and properly connected to Tub and Pressure switch Check there is not a siphon problem Check wire harness connections to:Inlet Valves, Pressure Switch, Drain Pump, Flow Meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU) Check all hoses for possible leaks Check pressure switch operation Check flow meter operation Check CCU operation

cheers

My oven wont stop beeping at me and showing F1. It keeps saying something about the self-cleaning. I've tried unplugging it and pressing all the buttons. It stops for a couple seconds and then starts

It has an issue with the thermostat, a temporary solution for my oven was to restart the oven and it would work for a little bit.

Trying to reformat my PC but can't get into BIOS set up.

Hey,

Seems the screen is slow to start up, right after pressing the power button, keep tapping on f1 or f10 untill the bios screen or something else comes up. that will definitely get you into the bios and dont mind if the computer starts to beep, slow down a little and keep tapping.

Thanks,
Ekse
