Question about Executive Software IRISPen Executive 6 Pen Full Version for PC, Mac
Error 5000 is related to permission settings.
Iris Pen software may have some problem with Snow Leopard 10.6.7 (latest release). From 10.6.5 to 10.6.7 many security features had been added. Latest Iris pen software may not be managed correctly by latest Mac Os. You may need to downgrade Mac OS. Try downgrading to 10.6.4.
Downgrading is never good if you can find a different solution. Before downgrading Mac OS, try the following:
Reinstall Iris Pen software. Use latest version. using older one makes things worse.
Ensure you are logged in as full admin when installing the software and when using it. If you are not sure about the account you used while installing the Iris Pen software, remove and reinstall.
Remove driver, then use the Disk utility :Applications > Utilities > Disk utility to repair permission, then reinstall. (you may have done this already)
Contact the company using contact form at Technical Support Contact. State the problem and ask to receive an updated version of the installer.
The most important step is contacting their customer support. You have already done most of the remaining troubleshooting.
