If you sure about problem on intake. Take your intake booth maf and air filter complete box out of the vehicle. inspect and clean your intake booth check if any posible air leak on it, check your maf sensor (use only maf sensor cleaner another cleaners may damage your sensor) if no any leak go to air filter box make sure air filter is in good and clean , on bottom piece of filter box there is another filter screen from the air inlet from out side make sure it is clean (get clug a lot from out side dirts ) if you did not find any cracks thats causes leak any air intake completly clean and still have problem you may go another step . good luck

Adjust shift linkage on a golf 4 speed gearbox

From the images I'm finding of it online it appears the easiest way to adjust it would be to take it loose. put the tyranny in first, as well as the shifter. Then adjust the linkage to fit, being careful not to move the shifter as you do it. do so for both linkages and run through the gears with the engine off and clutch dis-engaged to ensure you feel it hitting the gears as you move through them.

Make sure the linkages and everything does not have play it in or it will not be able to be adjusted. worn parts will have to be replaced.
