You will need a service technician to update the firmware. He will have to download from Ricoh's service website.

Remove the battery. While this isn't necessary to get the player into recovery mode, it insures the unit will not power on before the cable is inserted. On the iLO, hold the "Power" button down while inserting the USB cable. Continue holding the power button down for 5 seconds more after the cable is inserted. The backlight on the iLO will remain off during this time, making the screen appear to be blank. An hourglass should appear on you computer and Windows should say, "Found new Hardware 'SMTP3500". Launch the Rave-MP firmware update program (Start>Programs>Rave-MP> Firmware) Click "Get Firmware". Select "iLO256" and let it download new firmware. Click "OK" when prompted. Click "Update Firmware". It will now search for the iLO. This may take a while depending on how corrupted the firmware is, so be patient. After it has found the iLO, it will say, "A device has been detected in recovery mode and is being initialized. Please wait." The iLO should come back to life and start showing it's glorious "USB Connected" screen. The "Firmware Update" window should appear. Select "Format Data Area" to rid the player of corrupted firmware data. And click "Start". It can take anywhere from 2 to 4 minutes to re-flash the iLO and the program might appear to have locked up, but it hasn't. So don't close the program or disconnect the iLO! Why are you still reading this? Great, did something happen? Well, If the program fails to find the iLO and gives you an error like, "Device Timeout" or something similar, you need to reinstall the iLO drivers. This can be done by inserting the iLO cable into a USB port it has never been plugged into before. Or you can reinstall the drivers by reinstalling the Rave-MP program. (Remove it, restart the computer, and then install it again). Plugging it into a new USB port is the fastest and easiest option though. I have a Ricoh 161 but after a firmware update erro (NIB) the machine tries to continue the update. How I cancel the firmware update or reset the firmware in the machine? ----------------- Eu tenho uma...

You can not stop a firmware update.
Did you turn the machine off while the firmware update? If you did that your NVram is broken
I think that the only chance you have is with a new NVram. Sorry but you will have to put a new NVram.

Will not play blu ray discs but will play ordinary dvd's

You need the firmware update. You need to download it from here...
http://www.sharpusa.com/CustomerSupport/ProductDownloads/SoftwareDownloads.aspx
and save it to a usb flash drive that is between 1-2 gigs in storage with no other files saved on to it. insert the flash drive into your blu ray player and select " software update" from the settings menu.

ignore my last,
your problem is here /etc/dhcpd.conf line 5: expecting allow/deny key

Try enclosing your allow/deny statement(s) and range statement within a pool statement. I believe the allow/deny permit statements are meant for pools, not subnets.

Only one possibility before getting to the heart of it - try changing the battery (AGAIN). I realize this sounds almost idiotic, but a couple of other users have reported that for some reason this has helped solve their overwhelming issue. Now for what I started to say:

I recognize that this is not going to be a popular answer, but it appears to be the "real" one. Based on the information at http://www.amazon.co.uk/Aigo-A215-1GB-MP3-player/dp/B000H2R5JK it appears that this is an extremely problem-riddled product. Not one reviewer had a positive thing to say about the player.

[There was one FAQ the one time I was successful in pulling up their web site (www.aigo.co.uk), indicating that if you had a problem getting it to come on and stay on, to make sure the holf button was not enabled. (See www.aigo.co.uk/help/faqview.php?faqID=4).]

Aigo's web site does not provide any information on these issues, ability to search for support topics, or display a link to the apparently required firmware upgrade. They do have a link to "Contact us" - however, I have spent the last hour plus atttempting to get it to load so that I could give you the proper link information. The link is apparently www.aigo.co.uk/help/faqview.php?faqID=25

So, if you can get them to give you the firmware upgrade, it may solve your issues. Otherwise, again unfortunately, it may be best to look at obtaining another player. Thanks for rating FixYa!
