SOURCE: kdc-mp2032 how do i get it out of protect mode

Check your speaker connections, you've got a short. Check for loose tape on any connection. Fairly common problem. If your unit is Code Protected.. Try entering the code first, If you have a code, keep it handy, any time you jump start or loose power to the radio, it needs to be re entered before it will work again. Hope this helps

You might try disconnecting the memory wire and doing the reset again. If your head unit is not where u can access the wiring harness, you can disconnect the battery. This should clear any settings you have in the radio. Of course it will require resetting the clock, stations, etc...

Protect feature on kenwood car cd player

there may be a small pinhole on the front panel. find it and insert a pin (with power applied) to reset your radio. if this does not work, then go to the kenwood website and search for your item and then search for an 800 phone number to call for tech support
