I have a feeling you will have contact www.acer.com for them to reset the emanager password for you.
Have you tried to restore this unit,
It shouldn't be passworded either just reset back to original install.

Let me know if this helps ,Misterdj

Sometimes easier to take this issue to the pros....

I am not sure how confident you are with system repairs but I suggest you try Acer,

If there are any issues from the unit it will be sorrted out before you get your unit back.

Unless you have the passwords for the emanager then you have left yourself open for some costs,

this is unfortunate but you will remember next time,

Just leave the password to the default and you will never forget it.

Other option is to buy they software and install over the top of your existing install but you run the risk of losing everything,

Bonus is you end up with a fresh install and a working machine,

    Good luck with the mission,

Let me know of your outcome thanks

    HI there,

I have your manual you could have a look at the specs and go from there,

Hopefully you have the original disks so the reinstall is quite straight forward ,

Maybe its possible you could load dual operating systems as long as you dont mind loads of headaches

not advisable if you dont know how to fix the problems.

    try the manual first,

hope this helps, please let me know your outcome thanks

Acer Aspire 8930G 0xd0000017 recovery error

The Acer Aspire One is a netbook, not a laptop. A netbook is a smaller, scaled-down version of a laptop. It does not have the memory capacity or graphics of a regular laptop. It also lacks a CD drive, which means you cannot restore the Acer Aspire One with restore discs. Instead, the netbook has a built-in factory restore feature. You can reset the Acer Aspire One to factory settings just using your keyboard. Only restore your netbook to factory settings if you cannot fix the problem any other way.

Save any files or folders on your Acer Aspire One with flash drives. Drag and drop files onto the icon of your flash drive. Go to "Start" > "Restart" to reboot your netbook. Hold down "Alt" and "F10" when you see the Acer logo on the screen. The recovery menu will load. Hit "Enter" and then "Next" to see your recovery options. Choose "Factory Restore" to set your netbook back to factory settings. Follow the instructions on the screen. Choose your time zone and language when the customization menu appears. Reboot the netbook when you are prompted. Restore your saved files from the flash drive.

I'm trying to restore my laptop back to factory settings It's windows 7 the cd disk don't recovery disc don't work

Have you tried while in Windows, to use the Start Menu, find Acer on the All Programs list, and locate the recovery utility? I have an Acer laptop - an Aspire - and had to do exactly that. I used the built-in recovery routine on the Acer Laptop and was able to rebuild my laptop to the condition of when it just came out of the box, brand new.It will delete all your installations since you got it, applications and documents and photos, etc., will be gone, but your laptop will function as if brand new. Good luck with it. -a.

How do i reset acer aspire 5335 to factory setting?

Assuming the system partition has not been corrupted, do the following:

  1. Boot the machine
  2. While booting up, press and hold at the same time the ALT and F10 keys
This should take you to a system recovery screen with the option to reset to factory restore. Once completed, use System Tools to create a set of Recovery disks so you don't have to lose all of your files and programs should you need to recover again in the future.

Restore aspire 5610

Hi Fentylfc,

  • Click "Start" menu.

  • Click "Programs."

  • Click "Acer Recovery Management."
  • Click the "Restore" button on the bottom of the dialog box that opens.
  • Click "Restore System to Factory Default."
  • Click "Yes" in the warning dialog box which asks if you wish to continue the recovery process.
  • Click "Start" to restore the computer to the default factory settings
  • If you are unable to access the Start menu, use the recovery CDs that came with the computer and always make a back-up CD before restoring a computer to factory defaults. Good Luck...
