How to set time on GPS watch

From your comment I have no idea what watch you have! The more infromation you provide, the likelier it is we will have a solution. However, in general, watches cannot tell if you live in a spot on the globe that uses daylight savings time. You have to enter that information. Go into your settings and see if you can turn on Daylight Savings. The watch should set the time automatically at some point, occasionally takes some time. Only a part of the world uses daylight savings, invented by Ben Franklin to save energy(coal oil) just like today!

Dpfellside@hotmail.co.ukwhat is actually meant by daylight saving time. my Citizen watch always indicates this setting is off (I am in U.K.)

Daylight savings time is primarily an USA thing. We set our clocks ahead every Spring in March and hour and back an hour in the fall. The idea was invented by Ben Franklin centuries ago to save energy and it is still done with the same idea in mind. Read elsewhere to see how it saves energy, debatable. Not all part of the country observe DST. Just turn it off and you should be fine. You may need to correct the time.

CANNOT REMOVE LINK FROM BEN SHERMAN WATCH

If it's similar to my Ben Sherman watch it will have what looks like a screw on one side. It is in fact not a screw but the 2 sides of the split pin - which you simply push out using a map pin, small strong screwdriver, or similar. If you look inside the links you should find arrows to indicate which direction to push the pins out - usually pushing the end opposite the "screw" end. Note: It takes a fair strength to get the split pins moving.

How do you remove a watch back

Locate a very small tab (or recessed area) on the edge of the back cover. This is the access point for removal. You can find this sometimes by running your fingernail around the back rim, as this tab or indentation can be hard to see. Pull out the stem, which releases the back on some watches.
Get a small flathead screwdriver it needs to be a thin inflexible tip. Use a kitchen knife as a last resort. Wrap the hand you are holding the watch with in a towel or protect your hand in some manner so you don't injure yourself if the screwdriver/knife slips.

Very carefully slide the blade under the tiny metal protrusion on the back cover (or across the length of the recessed area, depending on which type of cover your watch has). Do not attempt to insert the point of the knife. Use the length of the blade.
Get under the tab or recessed area and gently but firmly turn the blade upward, popping the cover off.

When you replace the cover, make sure you line up the stem slot on the cover with the stem of the watch.

Or take to a local jewelry store/watchmaker!!

I bought Ben Sherman R424 watch from Amazon Marketplace. It has arrived with no manual, and I cannot figure it out. Any help please??

Solution 1 seems a little off for mine it's the bottom right button you hold in which brings up the date and then the country its set to starts flashing. Then the bottom left hand button to move to the time. Use the top right button to scroll and left bottom to move to the next input. When your done push the bottom right once.
Hope this helps.
