Osdlock on my computer desktop for 17'' monitor

You are having a problem with the OSD lock on your ViewSonic E70f Monitor. Is that correct?
If so, please follow these instructions to unlock or lock your monitor.
On some display devices, there is an OSD Lock that locks all current control settings and prevents access to the control menus until this mode is unlocked.
The method for unlocking the OSD is different for different monitors, but will be one of the 2 below. If the first method doesn't work, try the second.
Method 1: Press and hold both the [1] button on the front of the monitor and the down arrow button for 10 seconds.
Method 2: Press and hold both the [1] button on the front of the monitor and the up arrow button for 10 seconds.
Note: These same buttons, when pressed for another 10 seconds, will lock the OSD

Please let us know if you require any further help with this matter.

If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take a moment to kindly rate this post....thanks!

Hello,
The OSD (on screen display) is a lock feature that locks out all access to the control functions. Basically you can use this feature to lock the access to the control functions once you have everything set the way you want it so no one will be able to adjust them without unlocking it. To learn more about this option you can review this lcd monitor manual to learn about the details that your monitor might have (this may or may not be a manual for your specific monitor, but I am using it so you will get an idea about the different features some monitors might have. Yours may or may not have all these features). I hope this helps answer your question. If you need further assistance, I will be more than happy to answer any of your questions or help you. Have a good day.

If you would please rate my help, I really would appreciate it. Thanks

Control locked

try pressing the buttons (with your monitor turned off) if they have allowances for switching (if it is a push button then each should be pressed slightly and you should feel that it switches through!) if you pressed it and felt hard ( like something was stuck) then the buttons might have misalligned from the switches on the board. do not open your monitor unless you have electronic servicing experience. other causes might be the monitor's sync. processing IC. it could be defective.

Even i was also having the same problem. We can unlock the control lock by holding the menu button for 10-20 seconds.... But now my problem is the message "Controls locked/" appears continuously. Screen width also reduced. If anyone know the solution for this please help. thanks in advance.
